These dangerous moves for the sake of air shows should be banned. In the other thread, some members are saying that such aerobatics do inspire young generation to adopt fighter pilot as a career but guess what, entire city saw an air crash which has created more fear among the citizens than inspiration. Parents will be more reluctant to send their kids for such a career path. PAF needs to think about it that whether such vertical loops/dangerous stunts are worth displaying every now and than.Not just the precious pilot live but the valuable plane as well.

fighter flying is not a normal job. it is not for those who who want to build career and earn a lot of money. it is for those who are brave enough to take challenges for saving their nation. almost same is the case with soldiers. the soldiers and pilots who "made history" are not those who signed up for a job only and got salaries in return. they are the ones who really have the spirit of shahdat in their hearts. so if anyone really wants to join the elite club of warriors of islam they should keep this thing in their minds that they are taking risk. this is the major reason that those who spend their time in the air, land or sea defending the muslims are graded higher in Quran then those who are sitting at homes . this incident is very sad but the nation has seen how dangerous and challenging this profession is .it is not just topgun and fancy flying. military is a risky business. this incident will naturally filter the lot aspiring for PAF. the youth has seen 27 feb 2019 and 11 march 2020 as well so now only those who really want to take up this challenge will apply for air force.cowards will be filtered out.
as far as displays are concerned. i agree with you. PAF is holding such events very frequently. i think they will learn now. i was and still am not in favour of holding this parade every year. once in 4-5 years will be good enough IMO.

not an aviation expert and dont even know about the authenticity of this conversation but if even one person says all these sentences it will take him lot more time then the time taken by the jet in going into the loop and its impact on the ground. secondly the pilot would not be making emergency call the moment he started the descent. most likely he would have raised emergency alarm when he would have realized that he has gone too low for the maneuvre to complete. some expert can shed light on it.

he barely had seconds while coming down in the split S to judge that he was too low and try to get out of it. At no point do his airbrakes seem to be open(an option to dump speed and get a bit more nose authority), or his after burner engaged; which indicates he was unable to apply rectifying maneuvers leave alone have a 10 second conversation with ATc.

Watch the video again and starting from the second half of loop till point of no return ie crash, it is only 3-4 seconds. In that time, by instinct and nature, a human will feel panic and fear and in this special case, protection of self honor instead of doing this stupid convo which won’t save the pilot or the craft...
