It's sad to see so many moronic comments by Pakistani posters. This is not the first test of SHaheen 3, and there is a specific reason from 2750KM range, but they neither know it nor try to find out, just keep farting useless posts.

Shaheen 3 is a missile for peace for those who are sane leaders and clearly understand the effect of nuclear war.

Shaheen 3 is a missile to warn those who have malicious plans to harm Pakistan.

Pakistan using of nuke or its delivery system will only be in response against any country who caused harm to Pakistani strategic assets, or its people or crossed the International border or LOC. So beware Indian leadership, Shaheen 3 can reach every corner of your country and take down any target of interest.

I think a US think tank with access to some data speculated that on normal trajectory missile would have range of 5500 and its being tested on lofted trajectory which increase reentry speed but decreases range to half ie 2750 km

The notified range itself shows that its being mis reported for obvious reasons to keep ambiguity. 2750 why not 2500 or 3000 as is the case with all other such missile world over.

As it has been point that in order to target furthest region of Indian the with its current stated range missile need to be launched from close to Indian border. whay risk it if you can easily add 250 km without much difficulty and be able to fire it from a safe distance and also have more options to launch it from any place with in Pakistan.

So the actual range may be more than stated range

Second test of Shaheen 3 is a stepping stone for Ababeel 2 test. After successful verification of Shaheen 3 delivery system, Ababeel 2 will be made ready for test.

Very soon, at the "appropriate" time another NOTAM is expected for the test.

we never done second Test of Abbabeel Missile.
Now, Ababeel 2 is expected to be Tested.
Then it would be having more range than 2200 Km stated in first Test.
There is strong belief that Ababeel is having much more Range as its size is even bigger than Shaheen 3 which has range 2750 km while it is expected actual range of Shaheen 3 is also more than that,

Be handy to have range covering Paris, you know, just to keep the French awake!
In all seriousness you are right, covering Israel is enough, Pak does not need the hassle of developing missiles that can target Europe. All of Mid East and India pretty much protects as and assures an element of MAD should the Indians/Israelis ever get ideas.

Iam sure all contingencies are planned for however STATED range will remain within certain parameters.
