Man, no one is seriously looking at Pakistan, atleast in the sense you want them to be looking. No Russian, however drowned in Vodka will seriously risk the billions of dollars that India provides to get close to Pakistan which will give...err nothing! I had read this article before it was posted here & was wondering at the mental state of the author who was mixing up the sale of military equipment while at the same time having a wet dream of the Iran-Pakistan-India pipeline. If Russia were ever to go down the path of selling defence equipment of any consequence to Pakistan, they would have no traction in India & certainly not in the way the author imagines.

This author's intelligence is brought into doubt with the statements he makes on the SCO & South Asia

One could go further on the geopolitical level, and make the country a permanent member of the SCO. well its just politics

India is leaning more than Russian likes towards US . so its just reminding India that she too can play te same game. In return reminded them that then better give them all the deals and lets cancel ours.....anyways this will go on for a while.

hopefully Indian defence industry will become more sufficent and Russia can sell it tech to Pak

Russian Intellectuals for a long time wanted good relations with Pakistan, because it strengthens their position in the Islamic world, and helps to off-set USA influence.

Russia is already an observer nation in the OIC. Besides India has been cozying up with the USA lately, Russian-Pakistani bilateral relations will only strengthen.
