Ticker..the Only way to quell an insurgency is to have massive physical presence. India is probably the only nation on the globe that has had so many insurgencies and has not only survived but thrived. We have been successful in quelling most insurgencies and partially successful in others.

We know it. US knows it. They wanted India to deploy troops. We refused. Failing that U.S. understands that India can not change the scene on ground.

It was very wise indeed from India NOT to have committed overt military assistance or any troop contribution.
PA was waiting for it, and wanted that to happen.
For this one wish PA wasted several years keeping the pressure cooker's lid closed ...

Point in case,

Pakistan's foreign policy should grow a pair .. and stop relying on others.
Making this queen and that king, will only make Pakistan a Tool !

I agree. Pakistan should now come around to the view that Pakistan cannot progress until its neighbors progress. India has slowly realized this. Confrontationist attitude will harm your own nation subtly.
