Nato containers start returning to Karachi
CHAMAN: The containers carrying supplies for the US-led Nato forces in Afghanistan have started returning to Karachi, Geo News reported Wednesday.
According to Frontier Corps (FC) spokesman, all the containers that were stranded at Chaman border terminal have started to return to Karachi. The government had cut the Nato supply line after the deadly Nato air strike on two Pakistani border posts in Mohmand Agency that killed 24 soldiers. Due to blockade, hundreds of containers were stopped at the border area of Chaman.
The situation got serious due to security reasons along with drivers facing severe difficulties due to cold weather. Therefore, the containers started returning to Karachi via Quetta under the strict security provided by the FC forces.
