Pakistan bans 'Tiger Zinda Hai' over 'demeaning' content

. .
I've never liked the idea of banning movies. Provide an alternative - or better yet create a culture where TV is not the centre of attention in a family home and you won't need to ban stuff.

If anything has anti Islamic or anti Pakistani content, that should be banned though. Unfortnately i bet you can pick up pirate copies in a million different bazars.

Ye baat, pakistan mae kuch ban nahi hosakta, hum aazad aur zinda qaoum hai, jugad laga hi latay hain.

If pirated copies are circulated instead of an actual legal release in the cinemas than that's lost revenue that could've been made had this film not been anti Pak. It's a good move...letting the Bollywood film industry know that if they want business in Pak they can't show Pak in a negative light.

.
Don't agree with banning media but I would make one exception and that is Bollywood and Indian media should be completely banned through out Pakistan.

.
How will this ban prevent the rest of the world seeing the same demeaning content and being impressed by it?

The irony of this whole situation is how successful the director of this movie has been in conducting his whole experiment. All he had to do was show an ISI agent with a RAW agent and a country of 200 mil has raised a shitstorm over it. We have just shown to the world how small minded we are.

Not everything in life can be solved by banning everything.

.
good move we dont want vulgarity and cheap things anymore.

It's the thought of a female Pakistani spy who romances a Indian super-agent. The Pakistani authorities don't like this. :D

Bol was a fine film. And not every Bollywood film is cringey or boring. Below is a list from another thread. Six Bollywood recommendations from me :

1. Vijeta, meaning victor in Hindi ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vijeta_(1982_film) ) - It's set in a military academy and during the 1971 war with Pakistan but it not a jingoistic war film.

2. Arjun ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arjun_(1985_film) ) - It's about a idealistic and unemployed young man who mistakenly gets drawn into corrupt politics.

3. Rocket Singh, Salesman of the year ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocket_Singh:_Salesman_of_the_Year ) - If you want to build a company and/or are jaded by the corruption in the corporate world, watch this film.

4. Harud ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harud ) - A good film on what the ordinary, unaligned Kashmiri goes through in the ongoing Kashmir troubles.

5. Jaane bhi do yaaron ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jaane_Bhi_Do_Yaaro ) - The finest Indian satire about the politics-business corruption nexus.

6. Prahaar, meaning attack in Hindi ( https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Prahaar:_The_Final_Attack ) - Set in a army commando training academy and outside it. Not a war film.
lol thats the problem i bet not even one Pakistani have ever heard about any of the above movies......

only these Khans are famous in Pakistan because of their Pakistan connection.

Bull$h1t 53 years man can be a hero with 25 years old girl, f.up Bollywood, no rating system, no wonder india is becoming epicenter for rape and violence against minorities.

Wouldn't these movies being pirated and circulated work in India's favor, especially if the aim was to show Pakistan in a negative light rather than money? I mean, that way the government would have no control on how things are depicted as opposed to releasing it legally.

why would ISI needs RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA help when they can do almost everything in their domain pretty nicely
be it Honey traping thirsty Indian officials or stealing their battle plans from the office of their defence Minister?

I've never watched bollywood.

But they should focus on their national problems instead of being Pakistan-focused all the time.

It might be your personal choice of Boloywood, but you are not the spokesperson of Pakistani awam,
See collections numbers of previous Salman Khan movies in Pakistan,
I am not asking you to believe Indian sources, go and look at Pakistani sources or ask Pakistani cinema owners.

None of this matters in a films context, its all just entertainment (bad Indian one in this case). But the outrage that's being seen over such a stupid matter is hilarious. I don't think any ISI agent IRL would care what some bad Indian movie is showing him as.

What's next ? Burning down our own cinemas if we see an ISI and MOSSAD agent in a film ?

It would work in favor of India? How exactly? What do u think the Pakistani ppl would do? Go cry in a corner?

It wouldn't work in India's favor. India would just lose the opportunity to make money and the feelings of Pakistanis wouldn't be hurt bcuz this is expected of India. Just look at this forum or any other forums(specially Indian forums) where Indians are present, all they do is spit venom against Pak. This is to be expected from our enemy.
