It's forced retirement , not dismissal means the officials will have right to retain their army titles plus retirement benifits. Awam ko topi karva gya ISPR

On a serious note, COAS also has limits. Dismissing them would have made him a threat to many others inside Army. So it's a safe bet. But shouldn't have made a drama of this.
You get a option either to be dismiss or resign.

"Fine" only to fool people. hahaha

You are right, you can't hear anything about government. The Opposition Parties, NAB, Supreme Court and Media are all over Army. Its a conspiracy against Generals.

What ? You are ironically pathetic .. Man ..
Your frustrations is making you make no sense.

Media has reported that their titles, honors, pensions, accounts, benefits have all been seized and in fact its on every channel.

There is a reason why the people, social media and news channels have went gaga. 11 very High ranking officers have been out to justice.

What about the officers involved in massive real estate and land grab scandals?? This is a right step taken in the right direction.

They need to look at the real estate DHA cases.

I think corruption is a much bigger problem than terrorism will ever be for Pakistan or any country in the world including the US and this is a scientific fact.

Great Move. This will put more pressure on the civilian leaderships now to come clean.

PS. I have also heard that there are 14 Officers currently under trail in PAF as well.

I just heard the host of "Hum dekhen ge" saying it was a NCP ferrari... I wonder who's right....

Many pro-socialist cadres in army as extremely corrupt..

I woke up with this beautiful news. Alhumdulillah for having him as our COAS. It was needed. Accountability for everyone. Honestly, today Pakistan is standing because of this man. It even gives me a shiver to think if we had another COAS like Kiyani. Yes he did Sawat operation and this is the only thing I can think off. But things in Pakistan would be even worst.

Massive respect. :smitten::smitten::pakistan:

Ok bye.
We are lucky too have this patriot at the helm, in regards too Kayani, his first tenure went like clockwork, his second tenure ....well enough said.kudos

According to media reports, Lt Gen Obaidullah Khan Khattak is among the military officers dismissed.
Lt Gen Obaid was promoted to the rank in 2013 when he was serving as inspector general of the Frontier Corps in Balochistan.

The other officers have been named as
Maj Gen Ejaz Shahid,
Brigadier Rasheed,
Brigadier Asad Shahzada,
Brigadier Saifullah, Brigadier Amir,
Lt Col Haider
Maj Najeeb.

Your brother @Icarus thinks they were "fine individuals"

You can address me directly, I don't bite.

Yes they were fine individuals who have tendered decades of service for the country. I will not take that away from them. However, they have erred and have wronged the nation, for that they have been punished which is in line with the Military tradition and I fully endorse the decision of the military to punish them for their wrongdoings.

There's no such option given in services of Pakistan. If an official enquiry concludes u guilty, you're dismissed with all benifits both current as well as post employment benifits terminated.

So what's the standard of fineness? Lenght of service? If thats your standard of quality then whats the point of NABing beureucrates who have also served the nation for similar or even longer period of time? And yes they haven't been punished but allowed an exit like Musharraf.
