Pakistan Air Force (PAF) is free to use the F-16s to defend Pakistan against any adversary

So I was following the discussion on a post of Sir Kaiser Tufail and I personally asked for his permission to share the information here as a reminder since U.S has reportedly showed concern if F-16s were used or not.


Question :" Sir what is all this saga about F16s not being able to use? Not even for self defence. To me its such an irritant."

His statement : " PAF is free to use the F-16s for whatever mission it sees suitable, and against any country it sees as an adversary. There is NO clause that limits us on either of these grounds. Now India, through its influential lobby in the Senate and Congress, is trying to go all out to get USA to impose some sort of employment limitations on the F-16s. We are going to care a hoot about this issue and use them for the purpose we bought them for: beating the enemy with them, whoever dares to cast an evil eye."

As per my understanding, even on that day F-16s were flying CAP inside Pakistan as routine. It was the strike package DG ISPR told about when he said no F-16 was involved and there were none indeed. The strike package that struck targets inside india was made up of Mirage and JFT

We probably bought them to bring their might to bear against the Taliban Paper Plane squadron

you know why this started ? USA give us some 14Bell UH-1 helicopters for interior ministry and with term we will not use them for military . since then these guys are bashing this story the word can not use against india stated from those chopper . which we have return USA few years ago
