Pakistan Air Force not advising the Sri Lanka Air Force, says High Commission

Nov 05, Colombo: The Pakistan High Commission in Sri Lanka issuing a statement categorically denied the presence of any Pakistani military advisors or personnel in Sri Lanka.

"It is a fabrication of extreme proportions," it stressed. The announcement came in the backdrop of reports of Pakistan Air Force personnel advising the Sri Lanka Air Force on their bombing missions in the North East in past few months.

Head of a think tank in Chennai and an ex-Indian intelligence officer, B. Raman recently alleged that Pakistan Air Force personnel are teaching Lankan pilots how to use bunker busting bombs to kill the Tamil Tiger leader Velupillai Prabhakaran.

Indias effort would be to undrmine Pakistani influence in Colombo.The IN patrolling there might just start blinking their eyes everytime a LTTE ship wiuth arms passes by,thus helping the tigers to arm themselves well.

Prabhakaran has been going slow recently bcoz his cash&amrs flow has been squeezed by the intl community.The monet it gets back to normal he will be at his ruthlesss best.

Still, better to have direct Pakistani support against the Tamils as opposed to indirect Indian support for the the Tamils?

Ofcourse they are called terrorists. The Swedish peace negotiators were kicked out by the LTTE because Sweden had categorised the LTTE as a terrorist group. The difference is not that they are non-muslims. The difference is that the have a very effective militia and govern their land. Unlike conventional terrorists they have a tangible presence.
