Pakistan Aeronautical Complex to joint-manufacture 48 Wing Loong II UCAV

Nap-of-the-earth (abbreviated N.O.E) is a type of very low-altitude flight course used by military aircraft to avoid enemy detection and attack in a high-threat environment.
During NOE flight, geographical features are used as cover, exploiting valleys and folds in the terrain by flying in, rather than over, them. This keeps below enemy air defence radar coverage, avoiding being silhouetted against the sky. Other, mostly older terms include "ground-hugging", "terrain masking", "flying under the radar" and "hedgehopping".
To achieve this flight characteristics you need slow flight and remotelyy sensed flight path which is done by satellite.
 
Hopefully, they’ll integrate some Turkish staffs like the targeting pod, high resolution camera etc.!!!! Anyway, a very good decision!!! Terrorists won’t be able to move their heads out of the foxholes...

SSG wanted them for special operations. Imagine a bird flying in a 20^2km circle around an SSG team for 30hrs, providing real time intel and ability to strike any non line of sight threat to the SSG team emanating from behind hills, valleys or other natural obstacles.

This would eliminate the need to call in vipers which can only remain on station for 3 hours before having to refuel and to bring a new pilot in the cockpit. WL-II carries IR guided missiles and Small Diameter Bombs.

It can also carry small but deadly accurate LGBs with laser beaming being done by the craft itself rather than using an SOF guy for painting targets.

It can also be made to carry ELINT, IMINT, SAR or RF Jamming payload. Add its loiter time and you'd have a much less requirement to use those King Airs or DB-110s.
And, the special ops should be able to call them like folks call taxis...

Nobody is going to use drones against Indian Air defences. These will be used for CAS or targeted attacks on Western border.
The ultimate Indian assets are the Last Afghan/ISIS/BD PM etc.!!! A 24/7 coverage with armed UAVs will take care of most of them!!! Interesting times ahead...

You can use Terrain Contour Matching, or TERCOM, a navigation system used primarily by cruise missiles. It uses a pre-recorded contour map of the terrain that is compared with measurements made during flight by an on-board radar altimeter. A TERCOM system considerably increases the accuracy of a missile compared with inertial navigation systems (INS). The increased accuracy allows a TERCOM-equipped missile to fly closer to obstacles and generally lower altitudes, making it harder to detect by ground radar.
Or
Automatic target recognition (ATR), an algorithm or device to recognize targets or other objects based on data obtained from sensors.
Or
INS(inertial navigation system)
Pakistani CM's are already using them.
 
If you are placing the drone to take out S-400 then you will be at mistake a bit my friend. With that said it is not a statement that your cannot take out S-400. Yes S-400 can be shot down but not with a single weapon instead with a strategy.
Now how to develop a strategy to shoot down S-400. In this act pan needs help from China because they have the system.
S-400 has a limitation and that limitation is its pay load of 72 missiles after that it takes few minutes to reload the system. I remember here not all 72 missiles will be guarding one spot rather they will be guarding different spots. This S-400 only gives the area being targeted few minutes to be prepared for an attack.

For example usually S-400 one system has 4 launchers which make it 16 missiles of different roles loaded at one time.

If you fire a missile at the system it will launch the missile to intercept it. It after each launcher uses all it missiles they are reloaded so this means you fire sixteen conventional missiles and 17 missile will kill the system. The same thing that happened in Syria with pantsir s1 system. Israel shot down the system once it was out of ammo that is the time the system is vulnerable.

Now in case of the Chinese drone it has very large pay load and if 4 drones get with in firing range of one system their pay load over whelme the system and destroy it. This is a good strategy by Pakistan to get drones shot down first and the take out the system in reloading time with stand off weapons. Pakistan just wasted Indian $5 billion with few million.
As a rule of thumb, Pak always does!!! Hence, the Last Afgan/ISIS etc. And, all the internal traitors incubated at very sensitive positions...

So it is very cost effective alternative that adds longevity to the mission.


100 drones equipped with burq missiles will be enough to take it out.

I think 48 is the initial number and once we get the production line and rights then we can produce however and whenever we want perhaps by paying licensing depending on the agreement
If you can smartly use EW capabilities, you can defeat such systems even at a much cheaper rate!!! It’s a matter of simple physics - far field and near field effects!!! Say, if S400 signals want to reach close to Pak border , you can record the signaling characteristics and feed that into your ultra fast EW suits!! And, then go for jamming, country attack etc. based on GaN devices!!! Thus you can play havoc into the enemry’s computational systems!! Here, every mili second counts!!! Every time you render their signals incoherent it will take time to get the coherence back, and the cycle goes on!! The worst you can do is to making them believe in a “manipulated” coherence, which may lead them to fire their missiles into wrong directions!!! The Turkish folks have successfully demonstrated these plausibilities with the land based ASELSAN KORAL systems!!! Five such systems are currently with TuAF, and are deployed at the Syrian border!!! The next step is to transfer these EW capabilities to high altitude and heavy payload AKINCI UAVs (test flight in 2019), which are projected to remain in the air for 24 hours!!! Therefore, 24/7 coverage against S400 like systems from both land and air....

In a protracted war, the two sides launched a war of money eventually.
this will eventually render PAF huge advantage agianst IAF by inducting hundred UCAV along the.border.

its a strategic move by PAF.

when PAF pilot lean against their chair comfortably within their remote control station, IAF has to take old Mig21sortie to intercept again and agian.

S-400 range is 600km. Once 4 WL-2's detected, rest IAF fighters can do the task.

S-400 detection range 600 km interception range 400 km low fly object detection and interception range is very low for S-400. :)
