Pak visit for specific, narrow purpose: US Dy Secy of State

cancel the trip and end the honey-moon. Bye felicia why even waste my time. The Indian gov't is an extremist element and having ties with it could even further isolate the US than currently the Pak-gov't should give them an ultimatum. I would better be careful if I were you don't wanna get tussled up in all of this nasty stuff

The level of discourse on Defence.pk these days makes me long for the high minded exchange of views on the PDF of old.
She barked. So? We have heard all this before.

.
It was writing on the wall and i just hope that we have learned our lessons well.

.
Indian audience or not that was a rather brazen statement.

But I guess at least there is no doubt as to where the US stands.

True and the best response is to have someone lower ranking meet her and iterate the same thing.
They’re firefighting in every sphere as about now .

:yahoo::yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:...........BRILLIANT!!!!!!!!.........Please americans, LEAVE US ALONE and have 0 relationship with Pakistan...........8-)
Then why is Qureshi meeting her ( Deputy of Sec of State) and probably went to the airport to greet her. In India she did not meet our Foreign Minister Jaishanker as she is not the US sec of State. Why do Pakistani's fawn and bend their knee for her with full protocol ?

I won't be surprised if she's coming here to only let the Pakistani leadership know that sanctions are coming
Sanction or no sanctions it seems current agenda is related to Air Bulevard, specifically for drone attacks in Afghanistan.

.
Should not have happened!

Complete waste of time and space even the demands she keep with were unrealistic and send back without anything so why would she even bother to come in the first place.. I would perfer to further cut ties with them and put them on ignore list

. .
Thats not possible because it has India proxy and a wide terror network in the region...

Nobody can interfere into Pakistan internal affairs if it doesn't want A solid certainity.

This could be our golden age we will increase armement and stock ourselves up and also strengthen our stregetic depth. We will not be outdone on the land. Also all this Afghan talk with them has to be cut. Because I saw they openely said something like they were not interested in geo-economic relations diplomacy but only security and military diplomacy that means someone who doesn't care about your livelihood and economy basically there is really not much to talk to them about because I am building railways constructions across central Asia and etc etc. We seek geo-economic diplomacy and prosperity not here to talk military nor got time for it

We play silently. Like in Afghanistan. The suffering for the enemy is worse when there is no reaction. Its the best way
Fully agree. International relations are not about tit for tat. She should be received at the airport by her counterpart. She can call on SMQ. That alone will get the message across. A civil but appropriate reception for her. We want an equal and mutually beneficial trade based relationship with the US. Nothing more nothing less. We will cooperate on all matters which are mutually beneficial including aid to Afghanistan which we should coax them into helping and stabilizing.

I think SMQ meeting her is appropriate as she was received by a grade 20 officer. She has come visiting and snubbing her will not be nice. However the optics of this meeting are frosty and she has been dealt with politely but we have stuck to our narrative. The US remains an important player in world politics so we should remain engaged with them especially from the perspective of provision of development money for Afghanistan. That at the moment remains our primary goal. An unstable Afghanistan will cause more problems for Pakistan than for US. However the thems of our narrative should be stuck to.
I do not think the US needs us as much as we think it does. However it remains our trrading partner and we should not forget that. We should continue to push for more trade while develping alternate routes and opportunities in the Central Asian countries.
