Pak Suzuki has shipped 3 units of New Alto to Japan for testing

Suzuki mafia should be banned in Pakistan. Pathetic car, no safety features or fuel emission standards. They have been major beneficiaries of the turmoil in Pak economy since the 90s and rising dollar. This is why lower dollar is extremely important as these mafias have destroyed car industry esp. for consumers. Pakistan is 10+ years behind the rest of the world. Sick situation. Even Chinese cars have more up to date features than Suzuki.
Govt. should introduce more cheap Chinese cars in the market. That'll finish this brand.
Disagree! Killing local industry is not the solution - reforming it is.

Suzuki Cultus, Suzuki Ciaz and Suzuki Vitara have important safety features FYI.

Problem was lack of competition due to lack of auto policy.

When Pakistan finally had an auto policy (thanks to PML(N)-led government), Pak Suzuki is replacing its old line-up with new line-up consequently due to increased competitive pressure. Chinese cars are largely unproven anyways.

Imagine if there was peace and there was a free trade agreement as well. The Pak customers would have a plethora of Indian manufactured cars. Can't wait for the Tata Harrier. https://harrier.tatamotors.com/

I highly doubt if this will be below 10 under any circumstances which is why suzuki has increased prices of its existing vehicles 5 times in this year alone. Wagon R is now crossing 12 Mark.
Yes the engine will be different however i was specifically talking from the design aspect.

This model cost 2.5 - 3lac...
No offense but that front grille design is horrible.
Why doesn't Pak Suzuki launch new cars like they do in India?

Similar model is going to be introduced in India.. but we got India specific version too..

Pak Suzuki is launching new cars in Pakistan with passage of time. Some people are not paying attention.

We cannot compare prices because like this. Indian and Pak currency not on the same level.

It is around 3500 to 4000 $... we have different versions of alto..

Pak Suzuki is well on course to replace the 30 year old Mehran with the new Alto.

Pak Suzuki has shipped 3 units of New Alto to Japan for testing, but if these were not selected at random from a production line, the sample is likely to be prepared to a higher standard than would be likely delivered to captive customers.

Pak Suzuki cars are getting better, and the company is expanding its product-range with decent options. Some members just bash the brand without much exposure.

Better yes, but still far behind their JDM or other international counterparts.

This might sound a little off-topic. But isn't any local Pakistani company considering a move to lighter, electric vehicles?

Your market is perfectly positioned to take this experiment and succeed. It is undergoing a tectonic shift in the industry; China has BYD which has already had record sales of EVs in its home market.

Since your and Chinese government officials have such good relations, why not ask BYD to start assembling Alto-equivalent EV cars in Pakistan itself?

Give BYD the full rights to set up charging stations across Pakistan using CPEC as an excuse. Think about how EVs would sky rocket and force Suzuki to reduce the price.

I know EVs are a bit more expensive; but surely, for competition, BYD would be happy to sell cheaper than Suzuki even EVs as they have achieved economies of scale in their own market.
Pakistan based United Motors tried to venture into Electric Cars but folded there ambitions instantly don't know why. Now they have launched a 800cc Hatch back called "Bravo" In collaboration with Chinese company Dahe Motors with Pakistan local assembly with TOT and not a branded sale like FAW V2. It is priced at 850,000 Rupees but it has all modern features like Electric Steering, Alloy wheels, Parking Sensors, Rear Camera, Touchscreen Infotainment panel, Digital Odometer, Power Windows, Steering Adjustment, Remote Fuel lid, ABS Braking System, Arm Rest Cup holders and proper McPherson Struts Front Suspension and Coil Spring Back suspension etc
Not like Dabba Mehran Junk. Can you believe it Mehran have Leaf Spring Suspension at the rear like in Rickshaws :bad:
But ironic thing is people compare Bravo with Suzuki Mehran in all discussions just because it is priced similar to Mehran in reality it is ages ahead of Suzuki offering. lolz heck even Honda civic don't have factory fitted rear parking sensors at 2.9 Million Rupees and Toyota corolla Base Grade Dont have rear camera and Touchscreen controlled Infotainment systems Over 2 Million Rupees :disagree:

What Tests can be done in Japan that cannot be done in Pakistan.

Its not like the government has a Program to rate safety and Performance of vehicles on the road.
