In Pakistan’s interest to get it’s internal house in order. Once an inter institutional balance can be achieved Pakistan can be on a path of growth trajectory. One doesn’t need to be a rocket scientist to understand the most powerful institution is the source of major issue. First step is to recognize the problem, which has been identified. Over the course of few years, this problem will correct itself.

J&K issue is a complex one. Indian army with its state terrorism has managed to control the rebellion. To each their own. Few decades down the road the LoC has to be converted into IB, there is no way around it. India won’t abide by the UN resolutions no matter what and gradually they’d crowd the Kashmiris into a minority. Barring a miracle, nothing will change.

I honestly think that Kashmir has become tooo strategic to China's interest now via the belt and road - for the current situation to be the "longterm solution" - time will come when both forces will collectively kick India of Kashmir - i am certain of it.

Kashmir and Pakistan are part of China's response to circumventing a blockade of the malacca straights which could affect energy supplies to China and trade flows.

Even India understands this strategic reality and that is why it is building soo much infrastructure in the north east and west - as War is coming and they know it.

Granted - there was a lot of strategic moves that IK was making before the Army did its coup and kicked out the goverment - but a lot of things were baked in before that happened.

Civilian control of the Pakistani Army is in everyones interest if Pakistan is to progress - what you are seeing is a guerilla warfare being waged on the people of Pakistan by GHQ/Pakistan Army through their political proxies and associated establishment figures... the fate of Pakistans future will be determined in the next few months and years. Either the people of Pakistan win and put the Army in their place or they consign their future and the future of their children to supporting the greed of the generals in trying to profit for themselves at the expense of both Pakistan as a country and Pakistans future and the future of the people.
