I am seriously questioning this Good Taliban, Bad Taliban thing.

As time goes by, we are witnessing Taliban (be it Afghan or TTP), their core belief is the same.

Pakistanis are an inferior qaum and large part of it belongs to Afghanistan proper.

Talibs are hiding behind TTP like they hid behind Al Qaeda.

When PAF did airstrikes on TTP hideouts a few months back, Talib commanders were there assisting TTP.

There are madrassas in other parts of Pakistan but this extreme violence is unique to that region. Infact there are madrassas like that all over the world established by wahabis.

The right thing to have done was join NATO during the invasion and destroy the Haqqani network and Talib eastern Afghanistan stronghold to repair ties with Northern Alliance and yanks. India would never have gained influence with NA and US and TTP would never have existed. Its the foolishness of the Pakistani deep state and their investment in a terrorist organisation and an Islamic state failed experiment. Only Mushy knew.

Madrassahs were established in 70s, 80s. Suicide bombings and beheadings started in 2000s. State is silent on all madrassas all over the country not just madrassas in pashtoon lands.
Imagine how people of that area will react if the state does act against madrasaas. There will be more violence and your brother will be calling government agents of jews attacking muslims.
No state can do anything to help people who live with a mentality of delusional victimhood and lack of responsibility of their actions.

The thing is there is still sympathy in them for Afghanistan/TTP. You can't deny this reality that exists to a degree.

The weaker Afghanistan policy being "strategic" is due to local Pashtun sympathies that make force less likely. Also, the "strategic" policies were proposed by Pashtun leaders btw while others wanted force. Naserullah Babar, Hamid Gul, Assad Durrani... only Musharraf wanted force.

They can all go back to their Afghanistan and take their rubbish area with them. That will be a good riddance.

Things are way more complicated than what you are saying. Pakistan has not many options in Afghanistan and has to balance out a lot more behind the scenes. But i can assure you that things are not black and white and there are a hundred shades of grey.

If TTP using afghan soil isn't a redline then what's even the point of having an army

TTP and afghan Taliban both have no intentions to fix things

I have been hearing that for last 20 yrs.

Facts are afghan Taliban and TTP are roaming free in Afghanistan and openly attacking Pakistan..

Any other country in world be it nepal or bengaldesh or some African country like Namibia would have reacted differently

Reason why TTP will stay is to keep Pakistan relevant and probably get CSF fund resumed ..
