PAF urgent need of SAM

yes sir we put everything on someone and then enjoy
my point was we can trial/stake anyone and many things for bigger picture... similarly, obl position might be "given" by establishment so as US can vacate AFG. it was 2010/2011. Pak was weak and couln't afford heated eastern front. so military might thought, US departure would leave space for taliban (mullah umer condition deteriorating factor) so tahts why for a larger picture, they orchestrated that drama.. even US don't bash much about OBL but Haqqani... something fihsy .. but we cannot know exact details what haoppend and how

jo bhi hoa pakistan ke liye bura hoa bhai . we need long range effective SAMs and we need it now . already our forces are engaged in western front and we need air defense to maintain the east .

Bhai.
Why are we fooling ourselves. Or can we not accept the truth. Couple of hours before the raid the forces were going door to door and telling people to stay in doors.
Look at it from another perspective. Even if we knew about the attack what would we have done? When you are surviving on their crumbs do you want to take on the biggest army in the worldand escalate the matter. It is not India that we are talking about it is USA.
Re OBL it is known that he had renal disease and was dialysis dependant. The cause of it is reportedly Marfans syndrome. Has anyone checked the life expectancy of someone with Marfans syndrome. Now anyone who tells me that some one with renal failure on dialysis can survive in Tora bora for ages and then come and reside in Abbotabad next to a big army centre and not be detected for years. Ahhhummm.
And lastly you are telling me that US was so considerate ofcthe feelings of the Pakistani people and the reaction of some cave dwellers that it did not take a single photograph of the most wanted man dead to show to its public when it has had no qualms about showing the hanging of Saddam Hussain and the bodies of his 2 sons and the murder or last hours of Qaddafi and took his body quietly to the sea and gave a sea burrial.
Our ACM gave a statement thatcthe radars werenot turned off but then did not clarify what happened at least not to the public. Subhanallah and we believe everything as gospel truth. Right I am out of here. My last post on this thread.

It's funny how quickly Seymour Hersh's version of the events have been forgotten. I, for one, will never believe the official narrative. The U.S. has been duplicitous throughout history.

LOL  MK. Pakistan has HQ-9's too (or the FD equivalent of that) with around of over 100 KM range. A few batteries were acquired after Salala check post attacks. One was stationed in KPK, about 50 KM inside the border (to cover for 40-50 KM inside Afghanistan) and the other ones at some strategic point right off the border to Punjab and Sindh to provide coverage to multiple HVL's (high value locations). A couple of tests were conducts around Multan area in 2013 I think,

Can you post any link or pic of them??

Electronic warfare simulation and training systems should be modified in accordance with costumer's inventory, active missiles and likely threat perceptions. For examples, It is Greek Air Force posing serious threat to TurAF with various type of Russian/European/USA SAM systems along with Mirage/F-16 fighters. The simulation system should generate the similar threats imitating the available threats from AA missiles to SAM's. It is the reason Turkey ordered S-300, Tor, BUK systems to add the characteristics of related missiles into simulation inventory to lock TuRAF aircrafts in training sessions. What TurAF aircrafts should do is to make correct maneouvring, While generating strong electronic warfare tactics for avoiding/destroying maneouvrings...
Eveything is ok, where were you when Isreali Planes pass though your space and bombed nuke plant?

HQ-2B bhai they said its range is 100 but i consider 65 effective is better

Can't confirm but heard rumors that HQ-2's latest upgrade was also offered to keep them in service, in following wiki article it is said KS-1 radars can be used for HQ-2 upgrade.

Quote:

Components of the KS-1A system such as the modern planar array engagement radars could be used for upgrading legacy HQ-2 and S-75 systems, dramatically improving their performance.

If Pakistan had purchased those systems they might have been very effective for all three services as it can be used on various platforms with 2 types of missiles complementing each other for moving troops it would be a blessing to have as it can engage upto 40km.

your opinion on it please @Penguin @gambit

Why Pakistan did not purchased this system?? what cons it had for Pakistan?
