PAF to receive 6 F-16s Block 52+ on 13 Dec 2010

Pakistan should spend money on Rafale (less quantity but quality matters and generation matter rather thn spending money on 3 - 4 generation fighter) we need Mutli role fight + a bomber why PAF spending double spending on such F16s out of sense...

Pakistan should nt go for Any western..We need to start work on JF-17 block II bt nt with ws-13 bt with ws-10 engine or the engine which the f-16 block 60 uses.

we need +140KN engine thrust for Jf-17..we need to make it little heavier like f-16 class and increase its payload to 8ton.AESA radar..

Then JF-17 will be something of rafale class.

F-16s are paid by part of US military aid.

If we don't take them, we wont get anything. Can't get a refund in cash.

F-16s are not 3rd gen.

And, we already have plans far better than F-16s.

I think these are the last American fighters PAF will see.

Most of these integrations are still underway in ALL the new fighters aswell

EUROFIGHTER PENDING UPGRADES
In 2002, the MBDA Meteor was selected as the long range air-to-air missile armament of Eurofighter Typhoon.[89][90] Pending Meteor availability, Typhoon will be equipped with the Raytheon AMRAAM. The current in-service date for Meteor is predicted to be August 2012.[90]

In 2009, Eurofighter operators and manufacturers are considering upgrading the current fleet with the possibility of adding the MBDA Meteor missile and an Active Electronically Scanned Array radar.[48]

Eurojet is attempting to find funding to test a thrust vectoring nozzle (TVN) on a flight demonstrator.[91]

The RAF is working on fitting conformal fuel tanks (CFT) to free up limited underwing space for weapons.[92][N 2]
PGMs, ?
Stand-off missiles? Typhoon lacks them for the time to come.
Air to ground E/O,L ?
Litening 3 with ROVER III only on RAF Typhoons with austere AG package and not fully integrated anyway. Should be resolved with block 9.
Precision strike, ?Independent precision strike only against fixed targets at short ranges right now and only for RAF block 5 with austere AG package

UAE Demands for Rafale Improvements are Revealing
From the current issue of DSI magazine, in an article called "Awaiting the UAE":

And about the UAE demand to have a more powerful RBE2 radar, could it answer to some expectations for the Air force?

The Air Force is interested in having a RBE2 with an active antenna. It is now established with the powerful AESA antenna which will equip our tranche 4 Rafale
They want, in addition to the AESA, to have new functionalities on their Rafale, such as GMTT / GMTI (detection and tracking of moving ground target), interlacing between air/air and air/ground modes, etc..
The Emirians want a viewfinder-HMD

Initial deliveries of the Rafale M were to the F1 ("France 1") standard. This meant that the aircraft was suitable for air-to-air combat, replacing the obsolescent F-8 Crusader as the Aviation Navale's carrier-based fighter, but not equipped or armed for air-to-ground operations.

Rafale, radars, fail.
Rafale, engines, unacceptable, as designed
Rafale air to air missiles, MICA IR marginal, radar homer, epic fail.
Air to ground, current E/OL obsolete, still awaiting Damocles.
Dumb bombs, has dropped them IN COMBAT.
CM, failed against US tests..
PGMs, epic fail also IN COMBAT.
Precision strike, testing, looks promising

If thats true why many countries put Rafale in their deals ???

And remember if such kind of issues rafale have... in future 5 - 7 years Rafale will mature... about F16. Especially without "AESA" useless nor bomber nor generation beating fighter as compare to Su30, F18, Typhoon, include Rafale, Su35 blaa blaa blaa... u cant compare F16s with them... and we are talking about purpose of fighter can anyone telme what is actually F16 use (use of purpose) ???

Bomber, Fighter use to engage, Fighter for blaa blaa which kind of defence we need so that we are going for F16 ??

secondly we are getting not state of the Art F16s especially look at F16 Radar Range which we are getting...

About JF17 not even stand against Mirage, Mig 29, just fullfill demands of grounded aircraft soon in Pakistan fleet thats it.. nothing else... just only 1 purpose of Jf17.. not even single thing called "State of the Art" in this JF17. We need Multirole fighter.. Anyway let see what Pakistan do after this India MMRCA finaliz

F-16 is a multi-role fighter.multi-role means you can use them in any configuration according to your needs and demand of the our.You can configure them for Ground Attack role,Air-Superiority role etc Most nations prefer multi-role fighters as they can do the job without much diversification.Look at US they have f-16's multi-role,f-18's multi role,f-35 multi-role even the analyst say that f-22 is also a multi-role cum air-superiority fighter.

When it comes to PAF multi-role fighters suit our needs as we don't have enough budget to go for diversification for every role

According to PTV NEWS, last batch of F-16 Block 52+ has left for the Pakistan.:chilli:
Watch PTV NEWS headlines.

. .
So pakistan now has 45 block 15s (undergoing MLU and other upgrades)

Plus 18 Block 52s in service.. armed with AIM-120s!

63 F-16s in Service. This alone is a deadly force to reckon with..

Not to count the replacements of A-5s with JF-17s.. and its growing number. (soon to be armed with SD-10s)

AWACs! REFUELERS! SPADA-2000 - FT-2000!

Pakistan is on a roll I must say.. and the best part is.. these are not prone to SANCTIONS anymore..
Pakistan Zindabad.

Thumbs up for pakistan armed forces...May the force be with you!

The contract was signed in 2005 and we'll be receiving the final batch by tomorrow. Can anyone let me know why it takes that long to deliver fighter jets. Another example is FC20 which PAF is expected to receive in 2014.
