PAF & the ramifications of Rafale's sale to India

Pakistan is already in the process of acquiring sophisticated SAM systems. Their response, at least for the short-term, is a multi-layered SAM system. Acquiring new fighters is a long-term solution which PAF still seems to be mulling over.

.
They need to go with some high quality fighter, though there aren't many options if at all any.

Su-35?
Indians won't be happy about that. Russians reluctance as well.

J-10?
PAF have been reluctant to induct the fighter, More of a quantitive asset then qualitative.

Eurofighter?
I doubt the Saudis would through 10 billion dollars for Pakistani Eurofighters.

JF-17?
lmao, against a Rafale? We would be blasted out of the sky.

I will be honest you could have 1000 Raphaels but what use are they if indians dont have any balls

You have 300 su30s but your response to Uri attack is confused and darpok so if 300 su30s cant give you courage what will a extra 36 Raphaels do?

Pakistan for its part will continue development of JF17S, 100 should be completed by 2017/18 either new build block 2s or upgraded to block 2 level.
Block 3 with aesa and other goodies will come out and we should have 150 by 2020
End numbers will probably end up between 200-300

F16 are a plane we are familiar with and have all the experience, expertise and infrastructure so as a short term boost f16s may be sourced and MLU'd and we are lethal with this plane

Its possible we could go for a short term boost and induct a plane most likely one of the Chinese platforms but probably not

PAF could be J31 first customer in early 2020s
And ss china is not buying this plane PAF could get a superb deal

In addition PAF could join Turkish project for experience and to gave access to tech once Turkish project is mature if not place order outright towarss 2030

Also Pak is finally making moves on airdefence with induction of HQ16 and possibly HQ9 in near future

. .
We don't need planes we have People and their hearts in Kashmir that is all we need

They need to vote and lets conclude this gracefully

Indian's rush to buy Rafael fighter jets proves one thing, there current fleet is missing precision strike capability, as SU30 as air superiority fighter and Indian mirages are outdated countermeasures, not capable of deep strike mission in Pakistani territory, Pakistan should opt for medium range SAMS as rafale has not stealth capability and it would also keep other Indian fighter jets at a distance.

India should realize Pakistan now possess BVR engagement capability.

India buys Gnat/Jaguar/Mirage(s), Pakistan buys Mirages/ F86.

India buys French Rafale fighter, Pakistan buys Typhoon?

India buys Arctic Winter clothing from UK, Pakistan buys Arctic Winter clothing from UK.

India buys SU-30MKI, Pakistan buys Russian Chinese derivative HQ-16.

India buys Mi-etc, Pakistan buys Mi-whatever.

India buys MiG-29, Pakistan buys RD-33.

India potential for F-16/F-18, Pakistan buys F-16.

India buys P-8I, Pakistan buys used US Frigate.

Seems like some sort of pattern?

Yea, there is a pattern, and that is, as a response to India's acquisition, Pakistan bought something very small from the same or similar supplier. In many cases, it had nothing to do with the Indian acquisition as the item purchased was totally different (Mig-29 vs. RD-93 engines ). Interesting comparison though :enjoy:

That's one way to look at it yeah, Pakistan isn't putting together an expeditionary military force. The ones it did send out are being supported by the host nations.

But more importantly how the; European, America, Russian/Chinese are playing both-sides.

While the common man rots in the fields, the children of Politicians of India/Pakistan are partying together in London/NYC/ Geneva.
