Let me explain in terms that you may understand.

Every Air Force in the World wants the best and most technological advanced Jet.

One of the primary limitation is the Financial resources.

Pakistan Air Force wants the same as they are dead serious about having the most Technologically advanced Air Force in the World, but are limited by the available Financial Resources.

With that in mind, please understand that they are trying to get the most advanced Fighters that their budget would allow.

However , the PAF Fifth Generation aircrafts are already on the design board and hopefully should materialize by 2020. Hopefully by then we have the Economy to afford the acquisition of such Technologically advanced Jets.

PAF needs 4.5 gen plane much more then a true 5th gen plane as they will be introduced in South Asia after 2020, whereas Saffron Bandits already have more 4 gen planes then our whole air force and they are upgrading them to 4.5 gen and also preparing to induct another 4.5 gen plane in numbers.

As I have mentioned in my first post that, If our government play its vital role to get the resources but unfortunately, the corrupt stock has come once again. As far as resources are concerned, we've got alot Alhamdulilah. In Balochistan, Gold, Oil, Copper & Coal reserve. According to one defence analysist who is very well known in Pakistan has said that, only our Gold reserves is worth of $500 Billion. Now, again this corrupt govt would never play a positive role in that. All we need to wait now. Let these marches decide what comes up.

No, Pakistan wouldn't receive J-20 which is only for China.

No, we DON'T have FUNDS AVAILABLE EVERY YEAR then Pakistan shouldn't look for 5th Generation fighter jets at all.

Knowing 5th gen technology and building an aircraft are two different things---even though they are connected.

Investing in anti 5th gen tech is less expensive and is an extremely feasible proposition to start with.

you are absolutely right but my point is to build anti 5th gen aircraft technology... one should be aware of what 5th gen arcrfts are capable of.

I have been saying that all along. Use the JFT tech and know how and then work on JFT Block III and toy with as much 5th gen tech as possible. You can get the Chinese to share that with you for a decent cost. It'll just help you advance leaps and bounds and locally. At the least get ready to explore the 5th gen option with local industry pro-actively so you can produce local tech cheaper.

Pakistan Airforce & Pakistan Army should be focusing to buy 'Stealth Fighter Jets' now because in future, most of the big countries including India have now planning to make their own 5th Generation fighter jets or planning to acquire new one. Most of the countries have already started the production including Russia & China. Buying F-16s and production of JF-17 is not enough. We might have a economy issues but it can be resolved if our government contribute. China might offer its latest 'J-20 Stealth Jets' in future but it depends on our defence policy whether our government is up for it or not. But it is really necessary for our government and our army to start think on this.

I said Euro Fighter or J 10 any one of these ET quite difficult only chance is you refused it so in anger the may agree to sell it to us but our economy needs to improve or J 10 C the upcoming model is quite advanced Jet it is the most easy option but I am sure we need 3 platforms of 4.5 Generation and than starts focusing on 5th Generation

PK best bet would be the J-21 in a few years from now. at the moment the engine is the issue. prototypes are powered by the RD-93 which may be under-powered for this platform.

WS-13 is the key. But apart from news of it being tested on one of FC-1 prototypes, there is no news available. It is being developed further. But we just do not know where it has gotten to by now.

Whats the hurry for weapons?

No sovereign country would dare mess with Pakistan and the current inventory is more than enough to deal with extremist rabble. Just focus on economy and education, military toys can come later.
