PAF goes all out on Afghanistan > Talibs use their connections in IRGC to get heavier weapons and look to india for help as we > Pak deploys more troops on western front > Talibs fight Pak > Pak-Afghan war basically > Pak more focused on Afghanistan than india with all its resources > exactly what india could wish for. “Two front war”I heard similar BS back in 2007-9. Even when TTP were knocking on Islamabads gate.
It was nonsense then and is nonsense now and erudite English prose can't hide it.
All it accomplishes is making adversaries bolder and inclined to further action.
I agree. The establishment has a colonised mindset not worthy of a modern nuclear power. Very good at crackdowns domestically, but horrendous at being anything more than servile in foreign policy.
Pak covertly kill ttp commanders and stirs strife amongst their factions > pak recruits more locals from ttp infested areas into security forces to protect those areas > pak focuses on countering Ttp ideology on religious front > pak develops areas with poverty affected by ttp = ttp infighting > ttp fighting locals in security forces > ttp has no public support > ttp lose religious narrative > locals get more educated and have careers so can’t be exploited by terrorists and enemy agencies
Which way is better? Yes Pakistan has the conventional might to cause Afghanistan severe damage, but at what cost? Also, it’s not that easy to fight in Afghanistan either. It’s gonna be stalemate in a way. Pak can’t invade Afghanistan but afghans can’t cross border either. Gonna be a huge strain on my Pakistans already non existent economy.
