PAF Reveals Loitering Smart Munitions

I heard similar BS back in 2007-9. Even when TTP were knocking on Islamabads gate.
It was nonsense then and is nonsense now and erudite English prose can't hide it.

All it accomplishes is making adversaries bolder and inclined to further action.
I agree. The establishment has a colonised mindset not worthy of a modern nuclear power. Very good at crackdowns domestically, but horrendous at being anything more than servile in foreign policy.
PAF goes all out on Afghanistan > Talibs use their connections in IRGC to get heavier weapons and look to india for help as we > Pak deploys more troops on western front > Talibs fight Pak > Pak-Afghan war basically > Pak more focused on Afghanistan than india with all its resources > exactly what india could wish for. “Two front war”

Pak covertly kill ttp commanders and stirs strife amongst their factions > pak recruits more locals from ttp infested areas into security forces to protect those areas > pak focuses on countering Ttp ideology on religious front > pak develops areas with poverty affected by ttp = ttp infighting > ttp fighting locals in security forces > ttp has no public support > ttp lose religious narrative > locals get more educated and have careers so can’t be exploited by terrorists and enemy agencies

Which way is better? Yes Pakistan has the conventional might to cause Afghanistan severe damage, but at what cost? Also, it’s not that easy to fight in Afghanistan either. It’s gonna be stalemate in a way. Pak can’t invade Afghanistan but afghans can’t cross border either. Gonna be a huge strain on my Pakistans already non existent economy.

Pure Horse manure.
There is **no** India front. It vanished when nukes became a thing.
That titanic armored battles in Punjab and Sindh the fan bois salivate about are never going to happen. We have a MAD keeping the peace in the East. We need formations in Kashmir and a strategic reserve for contingencies. Everything else has to be focused on the west.
And yes, unleash PAF on the Afghans. Sure they will ask for weapons from IRGC and Bharat, they already are. We have have own counters to that, including increasing our own support to the plenty of subversive elements that they have.

And can we stop the nonsense on the Economy. It's going to be irrelevant for fighting there, we are in WW2 that we need to spin up industry, we fight with what we have already.
You know whats bad for the economy? The utter mess the establishment has gotten us into.
And now since its likely they are bringing Dar back, going to be worse.

. . . .
These knee-jerk comparisons do not help us.

Being incredibly aggressive against TTP inside of Afghanistan has more downsides than upsides for Pakistan. Also, keep in mind that Pakistan and Turkey don't have the same operating environments.

First thing, any kinetic action that Pakistan carries out in Afghanistan does the following:
a) It sets up a precedence that overt action against a neighboring country is legitimate (when it is not and is illegal).
b) It would push Taliban to counterbalance against Pakistan by getting closer to entities inimical to Pakistan's interests which is bad for us in the long run.
c) It makes our western borders as hot or hotter than our eastern borders and thus increase pressure on Pakistan specially when we are in a bind due to the economic crunch. Deployment of additional forces etc. is an expensive affair.
d) Lastly, kinetic action can only do so much. At most it is like cutting your grass, weeds which will grow back over time.

As such, Pakistan needs to use other measures like the approach with fast tracking repatriation of Afghans to IEA, or by putting pressure on the Taliban or by going slow on trade incentives or by not brokering/sponsoring acceptance of IEA with other countries or if push really comes to shove, then even approaching NA elements.

So as much as it would give people instant gratification if some TTP targets were taken out by force, long term success would be through engagement and turning tight the non-kinetic screws on the Taliban.
With respect, but no one respects "international law," certainly not India. If India does something, it won't be because of Pakistan going into Afghanistan to secure its interests, but an inherent weakness within our own borders. To deter, you have to show your enemies what happens when they cross the line -- and remind them every so often just in case they start forgetting.

Pakistan shouldn't be negotiating or compromising.

Pakistani rulers are docile over thinkers outwards and gung ho tyrants inwards.

i dont uunderstand what the PAF's obsession with wheeled, large LM's is. Where are they going to store these

easier to deploy - for storage they can be removed- mechanism is v. Simple,

Large LMs are good but yea wheeled doesn't make sense. I presume they just added wheels for landing and actual launch would be from pneumatic launchers.

There are multiple ways of twisting arms. Kinetic isn't the one that gets the best results in every situation. The refugee repatriation play is a much more effective way of going about this without the use of force.

Apart from KaGeM-V3
Pakistan Air Force in it official PR revealed integration of various disruption technologies in its inventory including Turkish🇹🇷 Y-III Killer Drone and KaGeM V3 Loitering Munition.
Notice instead of the usual catapult launched versions, the Y-III is a wheeled version ...meaning it's a RATO killer.
