Pakistani designed and manufactured. The TRM modules were built locally as well. I can assure you no such similar Chinese radar Exists either. The closest looking radar would be the YLC18A which PAF operates but that has totally different type of array and smaller chassis etc etc. However few of the sub structural components like hydraulics mast is obtained from third party provider I think for this radar above.

Few years ago there were reports that Pakistan will them but since then no news. So have we dropped the idea?

dont know but both PAF and PA are acquiring more towed 35mm.

Any idea if they are AHEAD capable? Or we inducting AHEAD capability?

Both China and Turkey has developed it in their oerlikon derivatives.

No idea on new batteries. But several batteries of second hand gdf + sky guard were delivered from turkey to PA I think.

News of Nokta Air Defense (NHS) System from Aselsan emerged in April this year based on AESA radar with two 35mm guns of AHEAD rounds and 12 ready to fire GÖKDOĞAN missiles of 40km range.
Seems better than other options.

Similar type of self-propelled air defence system from China is FK-2000 with 2x 6-barrel 30mm Gatling guns and 12 missiles of 25km range.

Ive heard that Pak Army has taken over the HQ-9B acquisition meant for PAF for better "integration". CAn someone confirm or deny?

As predicted a smaller range version the "FAAZ-1" also exists which appears to have been tested and later shelved in favor of PL-15 & FAAZ-2 combo

And Faaz-1 (reverse engineered SD-10) is being offered for export. Additionally a IIR Seeker variant also appears to have been developed indicating Faaz-1 missile project wasnt abandoned.
