PAF rare birds

Aero Commander (680-E)
This light communication aircraft was manufactured by Rockwell Aircraft Company, USA. It made its first flight in 1955 and induct in the PAF in 1966.Aero commander is powered by two piston engines (Lycoming 480), which given a maximum speed of 218 mph and could climb to a height of 21,900 feet. Basic role of this aircraft is light communication, for 4 persons or a payload of 1,802 lbs.
 
PAZMANY (PL-2)
This aircraft was assembled through a knock down kit, and manufactured in USA by PAZMANY Aircraft company .it was tested and flown in September, 1981 by CTDU PAF base Faisal. It is a provides a thrust of 150 HP. This aircraft could fly at a maximum speed of 153 mph.
 
DHC-2 Beaver
The de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver is a single engine, high wing, propeller-driven, STOL aircraft developed by de Havilland Canada, primarily known as a bush plane. It is used for cargo and passenger hauling, aerial application (crop dusting and aerial topdressing), and has been widely adopted by armed forces as a utility aircraft. The 4 aircrafts induct in PAF in 1963.
 
Quickie II
This is a Quickie II. It was a kit plane acquired and assembled by the Aircraft Manufacturing Factory, Pakistan Aeronautical Complex somewhere in the 1987-1988. It flew only a few times since it had some serious engine/airframe issues and was later given to the museum.
 
Fox Moth (DH-83C)
After Partition in 1947 the RPAF received 1 FOX MOTH from India as its share of the RIAF equipments. RPAF use it as a Light Communication Aircraft. This Aircraft Service in RPAF: 1947-1948
 
Trident (1-E)
PAF acquired 1 VIP version of Trident -1E for a short period in 1967. PAF acquired 4 of the type at that time.
 
Dakota (DC-3)
Amongst the earliest equipment of the RPAF when it came into existence in 1947, where some C-47 Dakotas transferred from the RIAF. These were used to start the crucial valley supply drops to Pak army out posts in Azad Kashmir. The Dakota retired From the PAF in 1955.
 
Bristol Freighter (Type-170)
Pakistan Air Force Used Bristol Freighter as a Transport fleet. The Freighter entered service in the RPAF in 1948 and phased out in 1966.
 
Vickers Viking (VC-1)
The PAF operated one specially built, VIP version of the Viking CMK-2 (1947-1960) which had the honor of flying the father of the nation. Pakistan’s only Viking phased out in 1960 and is now preserved in the PAF Museum
 
Vickers Viscount (VC-2)
The PAF operated one special VIP version of the Viscount for VIP Movements. The PAF Viscount was phased out in 1968.
 
Boeing (737-300)
The PAF operated one special VIP version of the Boeing 737-300 for VIP Movements. The aircraft induct in 1992 from PIA & return it in 1993.
 
F-5 FIGHTER ARRIVE IN PAKISTAN
DECEMBER 1971
DURING THE 1971 WAR DIFFERENT TYPES OF FIGHTERS FROM SOME FRIENDLY COUNTRIES WERE TEMRPORARILY TRANSFERRED TO THE PAF. OF THE SE GROUPS, A FORMATION OF THREE F-5As WITH PAF MARKINGS ARE SHOWN HERE ENTERING THE PAKISTANI TERRITORY. THE PILOTS WHO FERRIED THE F-5As WERE:-
