Periods are not discussed publicly in Pakistani society. That a good enough reason to ban this movie for public release. Its not being retard, backward or conservative. Its just that these are our values.

Those who problems, can download this movie or get a pirated DVD.

We dont have to do everything that Indians do. If Indians start discussing periods openly, we dont have to and we wont be any less of a society than them. Just being different.

This moral policing and excuses of public decency are keeping Pakistan's society from progressing. Blaming liberals isn't the solution, it's acknowledging that Pakistani conservatives are too stupid to realize that Pakistani society is being held back because of their need to protect something that cannot ever be protected, which is culture. Pakistani conservatives need to be publicly shamed, as they continue to praise killers and support the murder of children.

As it is, KSA and Iran have come to this realization, and they're making progress, albeit more slowly, but the way things are going, Pakistan is going to suffer and India is going to shoot ahead, which is exactly what far right conservatives want. Let's not forget, these same conservative groups were the ones that fought against the birth of Pakistan in the first place.

Don't your mothers , Sister and Wives have Menstruation Cycle ? Do you know how many STD's and AID related cases are reported in Pakistan ? and how many just because of shame don't even come out ?

Also the comparison with AIDS/STD's is a very bad one because no one brags about their AIDS infection out in the open. First time I am hearing of this.

Yes but a crap film is not needed to tell about it. There are several respectable ways and other good ways to educate women about it. Like you rightly pointed our Quran has given education Hadith has given education we need to taught that. A dumbo idiot movie is not needed

We should not jump at every opportunity and brand others as terrorists. Even if some one has worked or is working against our interests, we should rehabilitate and mentor instead of judging at each and every thing.

Feminism used to be for a good cause, a decent cause. Unfortunately, it has become political and is now tainted. It is being used and abused by certain women to further their own agenda. Movements such as #MeToo should be strongly countered because it is being exploited and furthered by those who themselves have exploited situations presented to them to their own advantage over their peers and it is only after they have extracted every essence of advantage do they claim #MeToo!! And simple men fall for that too.

Bachabazi is still considered a norm in some parts of KPK, in tribal areas of Balochistan women who are raped are then killed to preserve honour, teenage girls are taken as concubines by waderas in sindh, stage dramas (softcore p*rn aired on TV), mujras and prostitution run rampant all around Punjab. Hell even some R rated Bollywood productions make it into midnight shows around the country.
And yet a sanitary pad has you triggered.

Our country is not PERFECT. There are problems here and there. No country is perfect, all countries have problems, maybe ours has more problems than some other countries. Lets work to make it better by discussing and resolving these matters amongst ourselves. Do we need to make movies on these matters for Oscars and financial gains?

No ones forcing you to watch the movie, no ones airing it on TV, no ones asking you to start discussing the menstrual cycle with your infant son. The movie is about a guy who promotes hygiene in his village through a cheap alternative.

If you want to have an excuse to throw a b*tchfit then by all means go right ahead but its interesting to see how the countries 0.5% has you gasping for breath.

You probably misunderstood the entire thing. The movie was banned by Censor Board, learn to live with that decision. B*tchfit was thrown by those who started protesting the move by the censor board.

Isn't liberalism all about being open to ideas/opinions different then yours? So its our choice and opinion; be open to it.

Incidences like Mashal Khan’s killing is slowly opening the eyes of the general population.

Not sure why some people feel ashamed to talk about menstrual cycles.
It is because the the area involved or its because its just a feminine issue, let them deal it at personal level.

Like growth of hairs, fall of skin, this is also a natural process that unfortunately only females have to go through. Thats why the male dominated world want to ignore it and keep it covered under sheets.

Because of this mentality, many females have to follow very unhygenic methods, which not only cause more trouble to female, but a society at large, because they are the ones who will bring in next generation to world.

Menstrual cycles are the reason why all of us able to take birth in this world. Once these cycles are stopped female can no logger get safely pregnant.
