PadMan And The Pakistani Liberal

Bachabazi is still considered a norm in some parts of KPK, in tribal areas of Balochistan women who are raped are then killed to preserve honour, teenage girls are taken as concubines by waderas in sindh, stage dramas (softcore p*rn aired on TV), mujras and prostitution run rampant all around Punjab. Hell even some R rated Bollywood productions make it into midnight shows around the country.
So because other problems exist therefore we should overlook this one?

Why can't we tackle all of them?

And yeah I'm sure Pakistani "Liberals" in the comforts of their mansions and overseas residences are extremely concerned about bacha baazi and honor killings which is why they are more concerned about the banning of media content from a country that oppresses Muslims and kills Pakistani troops.

And yet a sanitary pad has you triggered.
Triggered? Well I'm not the one swearing here, so...

If you want to have an excuse to throw a b*tchfit then by all means go right ahead but its interesting to see how the countries 0.5% has you gasping for breath.
Not in the least. I'm actually enjoying pointing out their hypocrisy and arrogance.

.
Than you don't know what a liberal is, or what the word means.

Stating facts isn't moral policing, stating opinion is moral policing, which is what the Pakistani far right wing constantly does.

Times change, and when there are more efficient ways to do things, you adapt. If people had it their way, we would all be riding horses, not cars.

As for the Kashmir comment, your own words are apt here, one wrong doesn't justify another.

If you wanna ban the film, okay, fine, but give a proper reason.

Opposing the reality of women's rights, and body issues are far more treacherous than a fucking movie, which is something the far right in Pakistan are guilty of.

When you have political parties in Pakistan, actively plotting to stop women from voting, that is a problem. A fucking movie that you can simply ignore and no harm will be done, is far less of a problem.

You don't have your priorities right.

Its like you are asking a grade 1 kid to read and comprehend grad 10 books.Im talking about the public.A change is always gradual and comes through the uncontroversial means. If you make the goal controversial you have already lost the plot. For example, in order to make children aware of aggressors they need to be given 'sex education'.But Pakistanis will call it vulgar and boycott it as they wont comprehend why theres a word 'sex' in it.So either you can fight them or just label it differently and call it " personal hygiene and health/safety" and encompass other stuff .Im sure public will embrace it as long the education is being given by a teacher from the same sex.You have to reach the goal one way or another not infuriate people and create more divisions.
And this has to do with cultural conservatism not religion.A society that largely doesnt follow Islamic teachings but its culture in regards to inheritance/marriage, where a brother keeps most of the wealth and considers sisters ignorable , you are asking them to watch this movie and build consensus on female hygiene. Laughable..How many people would have seen this movie even if it was released? please wake up and see the reality, these people on twitter are making fuss over a non issue and they are not doing us any service.

I might not know what a Liberal is, but I do know what a Pakistani Liberal is, and thats an arrogant person who judges the rest of his countrymen from his self-proclaimed moral high horse.

You can't just make up your own definition of words. All you're doing is creating straw-men to argue against. These straw-liberals are rare, most Pakistani liberals just want the fucking far right to stop killing kids, and praising murderers, like those bastards that killed Mashal Khan by making up a fake story.

Pakistani "Liberals" don't bring facts to the table. Most of them are rich burger kids who grew up with a silver spoon in their mouths and raised in the West and now think they can belittle their own people because they themselves dress and act like the White man.

A straw-liberal, nothing more. Instead of addressing their points, you attack their background. Do you know what that means? You have no argument to make.

How is banning the media of a country that's actively killing your soldiers on the LoC "wrong" as you put it?

When did I say it was wrong? Don't put words into my mouth. I said if you wanna ban the movie, give a proper justification. Did the director kill those soldiers? Did any of the actors? Did any of the retailers or theaters?

Pakistan should be banning Indian movies that are pure propaganda, not harmless movies that do nothing but bring awareness of a simple issue.

And lastly just because there are other problems doesn't mean you use that as an excuse to avoid tackling the minor issues because eventually they add up.
Then why are you yourself using other problems to justify banning this film? That is hypocritical. You cannot blame me for something you yourself are doing. I'm simply using your own logic.

Indeed.

True. And an arrogant one at that.

If having political differences is a valid reason to ban content from other countries then why stop here ? Is it fair to trade with afghans when they send over terrorists ? Is it fair to deal with the Chinese when millions of Muslims are oppressed in China ? Let's cut all relation with the US since they interfere in Muslim countries. Let's not open the Pandoras box buddy.

To be clear, I'm not asking anyone watch it. My point is simply that the people getting angry over this have their priorities wrong.

But you're right, in the end, shouting is meaningless unless society itself wants change, which I believe is inevitable.

.
Lmfao at this constant need to "save culture". Let's all embrace infanticide, honour killing, bachabazi, tribal courts and wadera-ism ? Hey its all culture isn't it ? Culture doesn't need saving, you do. In countries where culture is " saved" it goes full 180 and transforms into the exact opposite. For 40 years Iran was under theological rule and now women are tearing up their burqas in the streets.

Honestly can't believe that these days liberal thinking is considered an "extreme" like terrorism. I know what I say hurts your feelings but last time I checked bullets hit a lot harder. Call us an extreme when we lynch and bomb you or freeze up the country's capital or kill women to save honour.

.
But one only has to look to the West where most of our Pakistani Liberal elites get their indoctrination from and see what these people seek to impose on the rest of us Pakistanis:

Yes, I remember the Liberal feminists of Islamabad, those lathi bardar chicks roaming around attacking Chinese females or those "Liberals" trying to enforce their way of life through the barrel of the gun, you know those folks who chopped off the head of our jawans and played football with them. Remember those liberals, folks? Yes these very same, now they are coming for you.

The retardation of Pakistani society continues unabated. I am sure in less than 50 years time, Pakistani society's complete transformation back in time to the 12th century A.D would be complete.

12th century is just the stop, the goal is the stone age. Pretty soon you'll see animals getting whipped for mating around some mullah who's morals were tested.

.
I have never heard such a thing as a Pakistani "conservative", but self proclaimed Pakistani "Liberals" are very common and usually they're the ones "moral policing" the rest of the population on "backwardness".

One wrong doesn't justify another.

And FYI those Pashto films aren't in-your-face, though they should be banned as well.

That's what mothers and elder female relatives are for. They have been through the same thing and survived. Surely they were doing something right.

Firstly it's an Indian movie and Indian army is oppressing Kashmiris and killing our troops in the LoC. Opposing the ban on Indian movies says alot about the traitorous mentality of our Pakistani Liberals.
Banning Bollywood films altogether for political reasons is one thing but that's not the point. Not all Indian movies are banned, but this one specifically which triggers the question "why"? Are we so worried about something so normal?

You either ban all Indian movies, or if you choose to ban a few selected then ban only those with explicit scenes which are filmed more in a vulgar way than romantic.

And Pashto movies used to be SO in your face that it used to play in every Pashto channel and cinemas in KPK and Baluchistan.

I never made up any definitions. I merely identified this group of people as what they themselves identify as. And who is this "far-right" in Pakistan? Never heard of a "far-right" in Pakistan. Do they identify as such or are you just making your own definition for convenience?

A straw-liberal, nothing more. Instead of addressing their points, you attack their background. Do you know what that means? You have no argument to make.
That's your opinion.

Pointing out the arrogance and hypocrisy of Pakistans Liberal Elites who themselves only give lip service while living in the West or in their gated communities is valid and much needed criticism.

Then why are you yourself using other problems to justify banning this film? That is hypocritical.
Pakistani soldiers getting killed by Indians IS my problem. It might not be your problem but speak for yourself.

I'm simply using your own logic.
No you're actually not.

So how many Pakistani soldiers has China killed? I don't know how you are comparing China (an ally) to India (a known enemy)

I like Armeena rana khan but these tweets are stupid.

Bollywood isn't the only source to learn about female menstrual cycle.

Feminism is not about empowering women anymore but it mostly consists of manipulation and hatred of men.

When will these Pakistani actresses ever learn? :hitwall:

Terrible play at sarcasm.

We wont allow this Indian film a release in pakistan ,those of you whose arses are on fire you can by all means walk upto ur moms and sisters and discuss with them their sanitary pads and periods ,you are welcome. Also the most vocal group against screening of such films is none other than pakistani females themselves.

But again do go and discuss ur moms and sisters periods, no harm ,why hop up around on a films ban, yes we are not ready to air such crappy films in our coutnry.

And regarding discussions on periods and stuff they are already discussed on pakistani morning shows and health segments if people here are ignorant to those than its their issues.

Lastly , as of sex eductaion then people are idiots who say pakistani society takes offence to sex education cause they dont understand what sex education is. Just cause u are an ignorant dumb arse who himself doesnt know what sex education means it doesnt mean u need to show ur ignorance here.

This is the definition of sex edu

Definition :
"Sex education is instruction on issues relating to human sexuality, including emotional relations and responsibilities, human sexual anatomy, sexual activity, sexual reproduction, age of consent, reproductive health, reproductive rights, safe sex, birth control and sexual abstinence. Sex education that covers all of these aspects is known as comprehensive sex education. Common avenues for sex education are parents or caregivers, formal school programs, and public health campaigns."

Sex education is a concept that was developed in west according to their needs and it literally meant educating their kids and teens about sex as their society is pretty liberal and premarital sex is as normal as one visits a loo,so in order to give them sense of hygiene and to help them guide thru process sex eductaion was introduced. It was also necessary for westerners to teach their kids about contraceptives and protection to protect them from stds and early childhood pregnancies. In uk 10-11 yr old preganncies and parents are fairly common.
These graphics make up their curriculums

In pakistan the need was not to use an incorrect term "sex education" are u teaching kids about sex? Are we implementing exactly No u want to teach them how to protect themselves , for which we need to get the right term which includes such curriculum, which should be self defence or sexual /physical abuse protection or awareness courses.

But again here the liberal spectrum hijacked this part by tossing around sex education term and triggering a negative reaction from parents , and then creating more drama by insisting to force this term on masses.

And its ironic those people who are not even paksitanis, they are canadians americans ,brits who have got nothing to do with paksitan are hopping up in this thread.

very good article thanks for sharing

@Ocean
And in islam it clearly states dont divorce ur wife in her pregnancy and menstruation times cause shes closer to illness , whoch ither faith teaches about womens state in these conditions.

As in since young age a muslim man learns about this fact and still these dramabaazs are doing drama tha society doesnt talk about it when men are already taught to know about it to care for their wives.
