The recent ban on the showing of Bollywood film "PadMan" in Pakistan has caused the butt-hurt celebrity Liberals on our side of the border to come out and make tweets against the banning of the movie. Ostensibly because the film "spreads public awareness" about the female menstrual cycle (talk about misplaced priorities).

Spreads awareness to whom though? To men? Why would any Pakistani man need a film, that too a Bollywood film, to teach him about the female menstrual cycle?

Any man who has some female relative(s) like a mother, sister(s), a wife, daughter(s), etc. inevitably at some point in his life will come to know of this matter, albeit not every minute detail of it, though eventually he will come to know of them.

In our society the younger generations receive knowledge on important matters from their elders. This has been the norm for centuries. The boys from their male relatives and the girls from their female relatives. Therefore it is absurd to even assume that a Bollywood film will somehow enlighten our population on such issues.

That our Liberals think a Bollywood film will inform the population about menstruation only goes to show that these people are completely disconnected from Pakistani society & culture and are living in their own little mental bubble and their disdain for the culture and traditions of the common Pakistani is not hidden either. This is not surprising considering most of them have grown up in the West and are now imposing their beliefs on the rest of Pakistan.

Take for example these tweets:

There is something called Public Decency, wherein out of respect for oneself and for others you do not discuss your private matters for everyone to see, hear and know. By the very same token would one also announce to the public when they have diarrhea? Pakistani Liberals not withstanding, any normal Pakistani would not.

Now i'm not surprised that the assault on public decency within Pakistani culture is being lead by Pakistani Liberals. While our sons are fighting in the LoC in Kashmir, many of whom have been martyred by Indian bullets, sacrificing their lives for their country, behind their backs the subversive element that are our Liberals are championing Indian movies and the tearing down of all social decency and norms that the average Pakistanis who make up the rank-and-file of our armed forces hold dear to their hearts and are putting their lives on the line for. This is treason, plain and simple.

But wait, there's more:

Ah, right. She's a Feminist and she grew up in the West which explains everything about people like her, that is they have nothing in common with the struggles of the common Pakistani, they do not share our traditions, our dresses, our cultural norms and instead belittle us and lecture us from their moral high horse to teach us "backward peasants" the "way" to "true progress". They impose their Western morality on the rest of us.

But one only has to look to the West where most of our Pakistani Liberal elites get their indoctrination from and see what these people seek to impose on the rest of us Pakistanis:

Public decency? Then why have some Pashto films been running in our cinemas for decades long? That is less of an indecency than a film on a subject which we consider "silly"? Periods in some countries aren't even private matters. Some girls actually cry and feel shame once they are on their period simply because they don't get properly educated on the matter.
Now this film might be more of a must in India since in some rural areas Indians are ignorant to some next level, but banning a movie on such a petty subject says alot about our tolerance level.

.
This moral policing and excuses of public decency are keeping Pakistan's society from progressing. Blaming liberals isn't the solution, it's acknowledging that Pakistani conservatives are too stupid to realize that Pakistani society is being held back because of their need to protect something that cannot ever be protected, which is culture. Pakistani conservatives need to be publicly shamed, as they continue to praise killers and support the murder of children.

As it is, KSA and Iran have come to this realization, and they're making progress, albeit more slowly, but the way things are going, Pakistan is going to suffer and India is going to shoot ahead, which is exactly what far right conservatives want. Let's not forget, these same conservative groups were the ones that fought against the birth of Pakistan in the first place.

Why are they called "Liberals"? I always fail to understand. Dare to disagree with them and get ready to be lynched online by them and their kind.

These people need another title, not "liberal", but something else. May be "desi retards" would be a better one.

For me a liberal person is the one who has the courage to debate/logically argue and stand up for the right cause, without caring whether or not he/she is up against the most powerful lobies in the world.

Those "will-sell-my-soul-to-the-highest-bidder" types fake "liberals" who just want to be noticed by all sort of cheap shyt are disgrace to the society.

Nothing against educating our kids in all sort of medical issues, but scoring cheap points by walking naked on the streets etc are plain stupid.

I have never heard such a thing as a Pakistani "conservative", but self proclaimed Pakistani "Liberals" are very common and usually they're the ones "moral policing" the rest of the population on "backwardness".

One wrong doesn't justify another.

And FYI those Pashto films aren't in-your-face, though they should be banned as well.
Periods in some countries aren't even private matters. Some girls actually cry and feel shame once they are on their period simply because they don't get properly educated on the matter.
That's what mothers and elder female relatives are for. They have been through the same thing and survived. Surely they were doing something right.
banning a movie on such a petty subject says alot about our tolerance level.
Firstly it's an Indian movie and Indian army is oppressing Kashmiris and killing our troops in the LoC. Opposing the ban on Indian movies says alot about the traitorous mentality of our Pakistani Liberals.

Than you don't know what a liberal is, or what the word means.

Stating facts isn't moral policing, stating opinion is moral policing, which is what the Pakistani far right wing constantly does.

Times change, and when there are more efficient ways to do things, you adapt. If people had it their way, we would all be riding horses, not cars.

As for the Kashmir comment, your own words are apt here, one wrong doesn't justify another.

If you wanna ban the film, okay, fine, but give a proper reason.

Opposing the reality of women's rights, and body issues are far more treacherous than a fucking movie, which is something the far right in Pakistan are guilty of.

When you have political parties in Pakistan, actively plotting to stop women from voting, that is a problem. A fucking movie that you can simply ignore and no harm will be done, is far less of a problem.

You don't have your priorities right.

I might not know what a Liberal is, but I do know what a Pakistani Liberal is, and thats an arrogant person who judges the rest of his countrymen from his self-proclaimed moral high horse.

Pakistani "Liberals" don't bring facts to the table. Most of them are rich burger kids who grew up with a silver spoon in their mouths and raised in the West and now think they can belittle their own people because they themselves dress and act like the White man.

How is banning the media of a country that's actively killing your soldiers on the LoC "wrong" as you put it?

And lastly just because there are other problems doesn't mean you use that as an excuse to avoid tackling the minor issues because eventually they add up.

It is wrong to call them liberal. They libturds..yes that's what they are.
Indeed.

Misplaced priorities is an Adolescent trait Sire
True. And an arrogant one at that.

. . .
Bachabazi is still considered a norm in some parts of KPK, in tribal areas of Balochistan women who are raped are then killed to preserve honour, teenage girls are taken as concubines by waderas in sindh, stage dramas (softcore p*rn aired on TV), mujras and prostitution run rampant all around Punjab. Hell even some R rated Bollywood productions make it into midnight shows around the country.
And yet a sanitary pad has you triggered.

No ones forcing you to watch the movie, no ones airing it on TV, no ones asking you to start discussing the menstrual cycle with your infant son. The movie is about a guy who promotes hygiene in his village through a cheap alternative.

If you want to have an excuse to throw a b*tchfit then by all means go right ahead but its interesting to see how the countries 0.5% has you gasping for breath.
