Our Model Of The Solar System Has Been Wrong This Entire Time!

Now imagine with that confusion they need to understand not only gravity itself but its effect like sun on planets , planets on their moon , planet on other planets, this is in only small parts of solar system.

Forget about inter galaxy or milky way center black holes..

Sometimes this all shit makes us belittle our fighting among ourselves.:(:(

Albert Einstein thought that gravity is what happens when space itself is curved or warped around a mass, such as a star or a planet. Thus, a star or planet would cause kind of a dip in space so that any other object that came too near would tend to fall into the dip - a gravity well of sorts.

Interesting! But confusing!

have you heard of double slit experiment? Particles change when observed. Now that's mind-boggling.

Unfortunately in the classrooms we were always taught the One-dinensional models.
Frankly I was never taught about the helix the solar system makes not even in my engg classes.

Aaap classroom mein kahan hotiii thiii....you used to spend the entire day playing Volleyball !

I think that was probably because initially they simplified things & later on astronomy only gets the occasional mention in later classes (pre-college). Only later if you're going to go for a Undergrad in it would one be most likely exposed to these bits & pieces of information !

I think its a little like how I was taught Chemistry - in the O'Levels they taught the Atomic Model which in the A'Level turned out to be wrong but taught for simplicity purposes at that stage !

A'Levels mein tou huddd hi kar diii - Pauli's Exclusion Principle, Wave Theory & other such things that pretty much nullified whatever we were taught about the Atomic Structure as O'Level students ! :undecided:

Its a good thing I dropped Chemistry after a year of being tortured by it otherwise I'd have gone crazy if I had studied it the entire 2 years of A'Levels !

Pauli's Exclusion Principle states XYZ or Bohor's Model states thus - Achaaa tou mein kiyaa karooon ? Bhangraa dalooon ? :chilli:

on one hand we laud the western education system where nothing is taught (spoon fed)

where they give a topic for studies and expect you to read up on it and next day discuss the topic in class, raise questions and doubts

on the other hand we want to be spoon fed

Huh...

Makes you afraid that at any second you might just pull off and go your separate way. I love the universe, as a whole and not just focusing on earth. It reminds me how insignificant we really are in the whole scheme of things. And yes this entire universe where Earth is not even something big enough to be registered, like a flicker of dust on a scale. Yet some people claim that all of this was created for just one single life form..... Human is really the most selfish of all creatures.

Our Model Of The Solar System Has Been Wrong This Entire Time!

If you walk into any classroom today, and likely ever since you were a kid yourself , there is one model being taught regarding the structure of our Solar System. It’s the model that looks like this:

SolarSysScope-1024x571.jpg

It’s the traditional orbiting model of the Solar System, or the Heliocentric Model, where our planets rotate around the sun.

While this isn’t entirely wrong, it’s omitting one very important fact. The sun isn’t stationary. The sun is actually travelling at extremely fast speeds, upward of 828,000 km/hr, or 514,000 miles an hour.

Our whole Solar System is orbiting the Milky Way Galaxy. In fact it takes 220-Million Years for the Sun to orbit our Galaxy.

Knowing this to be true, our visual model of the Solar System needs to change, and has been inaccurate this whole time. In fact, our planets are barreling through space with the sun, and literally creating a giant Cosmic DNA Helix, and a vortex similar to our Milky Way Galaxy.

Like this but in space, creating a never ending Sine Wave.

SineWAves.jpg

This entails that our Sun & the Planets of our Solar System are never in the same place. When we make one rotation around the sun, we have already traveled millions of miles through space, meaning these Cosmic Cycles are far grander than we might have previously imagined.

Here are two video examples of the Helical Model of our Solar System:

This is one by Physicist Nassim Haramein, which clarifies the difference:

Here is a beautiful digital representation of how our solar system is actually a vortex.

Oh please!! I cannot quit my job and go back to school again!! These scientists first say something, we learn that, and then they say all were wrong!! :pissed::pissed::pissed:

Btw, where the hell are we actually going on that never-ending roller-coaster ride?? :D

The stationary model and this model are both relative to motion. The stationary model is relative to the motion of the planets not the sun, which is why the sun "looks" stationary. This model is relative to the motion of the sun, including the planets, which is why the model looks so different. Both models are correct relative to the motion of an object.

I assumed everybody new this but I guess not.

Lolzzz did you also know that it was a helix???
What we're taught is the top view of solar system.

Yes I did, and I got a question for you does the moon orbit the Earth? Also, technically there isn't a top or bottom view of the solar system. We are taught the motions of the planets not the motion of the sun and the planets, which is why it is called "stationary''.

Never did we learn much about some other stars either other than our own ,something like this :(

Now sir,jus imagine the gravitational pull of those stars above. :D

The biggest in 4 pic (Aldebaran)is know as "Rohini", Antares in 5th pic is Jeysta naksatra in Hindu Astrology :)

In school they teach that solar system model is based on hypothesis which successfully answers solar phenomenon ..if our last model is so much far from reality then its impossible to predict solar calender which we did accurately ..

The model of the universe that @levina posted does not change or affect our solar calendar accuracy.

I cannot say about the schooling system but there is no spoonfeeding in the colleges of the west. You are expected to read, conclude, experiment, question and discover on your own. Even in subjects like literature a lot of stress is paid on drawing your own interpretation

Yes I did, and I got a question for you does the moon orbit the Earth?
Yes!
In an elliptical orbit I guess.
:)
Wrong? Am i?

There's nothing wrong with the 2D model. From the top, solar system would look exactly like it is taught.
But the 3D model would differ.

And calculations are made by the distances which're taken astronomically. So I guess the distances would be right.Albeit the planets take small helix paths around sun so that must be causing small errors.

Ok ..then there is nothing wrong on what we studied ..We just have to add one more dimension to it ..so if true then earth is moving at three speeds at same time !!! Along the sun ,around the sun and spinning within...there will be little gravitational drag which can only be shown by three dimensional model i think ...
