Certainly without any evidence if you point your finger at me, i shall vehemently deny your accusation and ask for evidence.
Since OBL escaped a joint task force, Pakistan was rightly bitter about the accusation since it was not like we helped OBL to escape Tora Bora and wanted him in our borderlands.
Barring any solid evidence, there was only one response Pakistan could have given when being given the blame entirely.

The link you have posted does not match with the current location where OBL was killed.
Also if there was actionable evidence, there was no chance in hell Pakistan would not have acted on it before.
And if Pakistan refused to act, there would have been open conflict between USA and Pakistan.
However Osama is hated by us as much as USA so this was never in doubt that if he is tracked, there shall be cooperation to capture/kill him.

So Pakistan did not offer him safe haven, does not mean he could not have been moving in Pakistan or Afghanistan or whatever place he managed to escape to.
Had actionable evidence been unearthed by USA or Pakistan, what makes you think no action would have been taken?
If there was no evidence but only such statements, surely for Pakistan to say that Osama is in Pakistan would have been utterly retarded as well.

When the evidence was unearthed, action was taken and Pakistan allowed it to happen.
This means there was never any intent of Pakistan to protect Osama, which was always reiterated by Pakistan.

OBL used the border between Pakistan and Afghanistan during the soviet invasion to carry out his operations and was really familiar with the terrain. Based on his escape from US forces in Tora bora and his expertise of infiltration during soviet invasion...a guess was made that if in Pakistan he could be anywhere from Chitral to Kurram.
This was a guess only and not a fact...as proven today.
OBL may have ranged in all these areas but the current location was far off from this estimate so this article established nothing of significance, contrary to your belief.
It is one thing to predict his whereabouts in a large swathe of land and another to be certain of it and to develop actionable evidence.
