I understand the anger brother. I am from Central Punjab, former N league headquarters. I know that there are many forces trying to blame IK for every little thing, hoping their N people can come back from London.

Karachi has suffered alot, and PTI was not able to deliver. I understand, but unfortunately they had to compromise with MQM-P to stay in Karachi.

If we give PTI a bigger mandate, IK can take on Zardari head on and finish the last of the mafia dynasties ruling over Pakistan.

Thats is not how it works, its not Twitter Facebook or some other social media outlet.
When it concerns the image of your country, you cant just put it out there before verifying the content.
People tend to read tittles or first posts on threads and move on.
If you want a discussion about it,a question mark in the tittle would have changed the perception.
Valid point - a question vs a statement in the title would have been more balanced.

What's the mood on the ground like? Alot of people got put off by this government when NS was allowed to escape to London. Support is decreasing rapidly mainly due to inability to catch and hold accountable the corrupt mafias.

However just announced today that Punjab will have local bodies elections in December. This is what got PTI 2/3 in KPK in 2018.. if the local bodies system gets up and running and people start seeing tabdeeli in their areas they will definitely be inclined to vote for PTI in 2023.

After all the mud slinging towards the Army, they seem incapable of learning. Galian hi khani ti, should've given IK majority so he could've delivered on most of his promises. But no, the Establishment wanted to balance IK by keeping their old infatuations in the assembly. Kar lo phir amb.

There are multiple threads on this very forum.
The term 'political persons' is used in international publications.
Here I will give you a link to your favorite anchor. The story is well covered and discussed. Even the transaction details how money was circulated first to Saudi Arabia than to USA than to Pakistan is public with local accounts that received the payment in Lahore.

I don't have a favorite anchor. I dislike them all equally. Just because some anchor may say something at some time to which I agree would not make him/her my favorite anchor. I feel the same about politicians, all of them.

Also, there was a bigger game when HBL was punished, it was not punished for laundering Pakistani politician's money. You would also know most of the black money landed in UAE but UAE was never punished.

This is my take on the whole affair. Anything is justified to rile the US deep state LOL Well done IK.

What about the mafias in the govt? the same lackies from the past that have reinvented themselves within the PTI. IK needs a full purge of society. I am talking about something beyond going after the Sharifs or Zardaris but a complete purge of the society by going after top ranking judges, generals, politicians in the govt, bearocrats, etc... Sure markets may suffer for a few months to a year but the progress you will see after that will more than make up for the $$$ lost!

After you get rid of the kingpins, it will be easy to go after the smaller mafia bosses.

Pakistan situation was so bad that IK had to stop everything to focus on the economy. We could have easily been compromised had we had a traitor at the helm, but IK has held us together and the military has dealt with enemies with its iron fist.

Yes bro I understand the bigger game, as far as FATF is concerned. This HBL fiasco gave them the opportunity, it was used as a context for putting Pakistan on FATF.
HBL was first given warning by US regulators in 2015 I think and it's ratings downgraded. It was the 3rd time they took legal action, which ended up in fine. This money laundering was happening since 2007 for 10 years.

Sir a good manager is a person who gives credit to his team and takes responsibility for failure of his/her team, finding excuses or putting blame on everything in the world is not indications of a good leader/manager no matter how non-corrupt he/she is or how good his intentions might be

Old die-hards of N have remained N leaguers, but most of Punjab have moved on to PTI.

PTI will win even more votes in the next elections, it will cause many problems between PTI and N league supporters (who we call Gullu Butts.) N will become like an extremist, sectarian, anarchist group like what ANP, MQM, and JUIF has become.

At election time, Punjab was 60/40 in favor of PTI, I think it is currently around 70/30. N league supporters will keep leaving slowly.

Pakistani people are the issue. People are not ready for radical change. There is only one real, proven method to garner large numbers of votes fast, that is to show a proven record of success. N league relied on development, which they did do, but only in Lahore. The flood showed that was all a lie.

I think PTI should shift for Islamic and conservative discourse, as the populace and masses are devoutly religious. N league and PPP are trying to pass off this false image of PTI as some liberal, atheistic party. IK must shore up his Islamic credentials and take action against slanderers and miscreants in Pakistan.

Opposition is trying their best to get Noora back, but I hope people have clearer thoughts come election day and choose PTI again with a wide majority. Next vote PTI again!

Last PM spoke nothing and this PM speaks too much! When will Pakistan get a mature and moderate leadership?

Trump and Bush are the leadership of the most powerful military force in the world and capable of effectively shutting off economic lifelines if need be even with their own nation in chaos.. Khan sahab’s country cannot exert influence or power or self sufficiency even 1/10000th of it to get away with faux pax at that rate. The reason India gets away with its actions are the same why Pakistan cannot.
I am pretty sure policies are not made or broken from a single sentence. If USA has reservations then I think we can quietly put this under the carpet by giving them a clarification that this was a slip of tongue - previous faux pax such as Germany and Japan being neighboring countries may support this argument. I don't see much traction in western media yet, but Pakistanis are blowing this up themselves to score political points at home.

For those who don't want to go through the whole speech and don't understand Urdu, here's a rough translation (from 44 minutes on):

"The amount of humiliation Pakistan has had to endure by becoming a partner of the US in the US war on terror is unprecedented. It didn't matter what Pakistan did, we were blamed and humiliated for US failures in Afghanistan.

There are two events that were shameful for Pakistan, that we are ashamed of. The first is that the US came into Pakistan and killed Osama Bin Laden in Abottabad ... martyred him. What happened after that? The entire world abused us .. called us evil. Our own ally intruded into Pakistan and killed someone and didn't inform us despite the fact that we have lost 70,000 Pakistanis in their war on terror.

The second thing to be ashamed of, the drone attacks in Pakistan ..."

For those trying to understand Imran Khan on this, keep in mind his consistent and vociferous opposition to Pakistan becoming part of the US WoT, deploying Pakistani forces in FATA and the drone attacks, since the US invasion of Afghanistan.

IK has always spoken in favor of dialog and negotiations, even in FATA, to address the issues there. In his view, FATA and Swat would not have become the hotbeds of terrorism that they did had it not been for Pakistan joining the US War on Terror. Whether you agree or disagree with that position, it is one that he strongly believes in.

IK isn't in support of terrorism, he just has a different point of view on how things should have been handled in Pakistan and Afghanistan post 9/11 attacks.
Yes, it was extremely embarrassing , when OBL killed and discover next to Kakul. I am totally speechless.... OBL commission report never published. And those who were responsible for hiding him still free. Or was it same pattern the way they discovered Saddam from rat hole before election ...No one ever come forward to give therapy against this national agony.

My home city of Faisalabad was once N homeland, now every person is cursing Nawaz, Shehbaz, and Rana Sanaullah. We are diehard PTI now. Faisalabad proved to be even more so than Lahore, which was surprising for many people.

The same pessimistic attitude which infected Karachi for many years in relation to MQM was the same attitude many Punjabis had toward N league. They compromised for their interests, got duped by partisan politics (N plays heavy zat and ethnic cards,) and many people are obliged for jobs to N league.

Veerey, it was all a drama.

There is no way it could have happened. The whole thing was hushed to allow US to leave Afghanistan, Pakistani government wrongfully took the blame.

Until we start speaking up for our interests, no one else will.

Look at China, Turkey, Iran, and KSA. Can anyone accuse them of these things in their countries? How do they react when accused of random things?
