What's new

Operation Swift Retort section at PAF Museum Faisal

They are celebrating as if they've conquered Kashmir.

It was just a minor skirmish. The country rejoiced, pilots were awarded etc and it was enough.
This pomp and show must end now and we must prepare for what the future has in store for us. We, however are in a state of unending hubris.

It is too much now and they are over doing it.

It was not a major battlefield victory. It was a minor clash and should be treated as such.

Clashes being a minor is subjective. India certainly had the intention to cause a massive damage on February 26 before they were forced to retreat by PAF and the next day intended to take on PAF jets before they were shot down. India still continues to deny the facts of what happened. PAF is very right to send the IAF jet and all other stuff to the museum. As I said, this whole faux outrage is hilarious and shows the immature mentality of those trying to pass their outrages as some sort of sophistication. It’s not. PAF reaction is in line with international military tradition. Indians will be shown these museum materials till they get off their delusions and accept reality.

What is that red/black rectangular patch on his right arm?

For the people who are upset, I hope you have never killed a rat or a mosquito before. Otherwise you are being hypocritical.

Indians have no shame or honor and they will always deny the truth. This is one way to get to them to shut up and is needed.

Even when the coverall of the Israeli pilot shot down by a PAF pilot was put up on display, some folks disapproved of that and suggested it should be returned to his family.
That was g-suit if i am not wrong gifted to us by an Arab country. We don't recognise Usrael.

Strongly agreed. My dad, a PAF Viper driver, was shot down behind enemy lines. I would certainly have not liked it to have had Soviets have a statue of him in their museum with his flight suit and name tags on display.
OPSec during this whole ops was terrible,i am of opinion that all those who leaked images and videos should have been punished.

that statue thing is not good, i would say, must be removed.
rather it was better that we come up with more evidences at hand to show like we did earlier.

Isnt that the example of the our prophet too though? Acting on moral grounds while the enemy spews garbage left and right? What does that have to do with "liberals"?

Don’t need to bring the Prophet into this as this is a totally different situation. Had those Muslims not saved Jews during WWII and shipped them to Palestine we wouldn’t be in this situation, had Saladin Ayyub been more ruthless we could have been in stronger position. We have had good leaders who act to soft.

Typical desi liberal storm in a tea cup.

PAF’s domination of IAF in the February skirmishes is now part of history and all facts must be preserved; especially when the Indians are engaged in an outrageous manufacturing of the facts of this engagement. Besides, both India and Pakistan have displayed equipment from previous wars. Indians museums display captured Pakistani tanks and Pakistan also displays Indians tanks and planes it’s museums and military bases. The Capture and display of enemy equipment as a war trophy is a long military tradition.

Abhinandan has received unprecedented makeover in an attempt to rewrite history. PAF is entirely right in displaying his overalls and other associated belongings. The history and facts must be preserved for history and future generations despite the holier than thou attitudes of small fringe groups.
I'm far from liberal. Got some time in the profession so I have a bit of an idea. All I'm saying dimwit that having a statue is disrespectful.

And I add to this that a lot of PAF fighter jocks I know, in service and retired are against the statue thing. Guess they are also in the typical desi liberal storm the way you described it.

Once again your father wasn't shot down by Soviets neither they had any direct role in it.
Windjammer. Once again when you have nothing meaningful to add, please shut up. And take that as an advice. Had a lot of respect for you in the past.

Hello, what is it that i have said that has hurt or troubled you so much.....i mean why and how could or would Soviets display your father's statue or uniform when he was never their victim neither he was captured beyond enemy lines.
As for advice, please introspect since it's you who seem to drag in your father in virtually every thread.
Cheers.

i think abhi's uniform is on the top left corner, notice the zipper line from top to bottom.
There's G-suit and coverall plus don't miss that Tea Cup in the front.

I gave an example, and he was almost captured. You just don't know details. And I don't drag in him every thread. Behave yourself.

Ending it there.

Cheers!!!

Pakistan is under no obligation to take some imaginary high road set by weirdos like you in the face of a persistently vile and gutter enemy. The enemy will have to be reminded of its humiliation no matter what you and others say. Live with it.

India has statues of 1971 everywhere... this once is nothing..

Exactly. Share this with knuckles and his fellow weirdos.
