Only Iran is confronting Islamic State, paramilitary chief says

.
Why on earth US should fight on behalf of Ayatulah dictatorship and Hezbollah terrorists which murdered hundreds of Americans?

Because U.S created this mess to begin with, how's that for a start?

It's pretty stupid to compare IS with Hezbollah, I'd compare them with Israel, suits better. Hezbollah is too good to be compared to any force in ME.

Lol too good, can't even defeat a bunch of armed civilians with an organized army that have +4000 Tanks and warplanes and with Iranian help and funding.

I'd say the none-stopping shipments of yellow boxes coming from Syria to South-Lebanon is a testament of how good they really are (sarcasm).

It's not Hezbollah, that's SAA. Meanwhile Hezbollah is kicking Saudi funded Nusra terrorists' arse in Qalamun just as we speak.

No force is immortal, but I assure you, for every one of their martyrs, they send to hell at least 5 Saudi funded AlQaeda terrorists. ;)

You seem to be forgetting that Hezbies and assad just lost a major city, and you're blabbering about a skirmish at hezbollat's backyard with plenty of room to run and hide, just like their friends in Iraqi army when they fled from a bunch of terrorists in Ramadi with their heads between their tails.

Cities are falling one by one, no amount of Ajami propaganda and news articles can hide that simple truth.

Hezbollah has no presence in Idlib province or Palmyra, next.

Well there are two major fractions fighting each other in Iraq: Iranian supported militias like Kataib Hezbollah and IS. I dont see how one is better than another and why West should help either side at all.

Nope , one side is Iraq as a country and on the other side ISIS and those countries which have funded it .... in fact it was Iraqi Gov which asked Iran to help and we did it .... not only Shia but also Kurds have received Iranian aids ...

"...The situation since the collapse of Mosul was very difficult, was very crucial – we were in situation where Baghdad was under threat, and it was a serious threat, actually. So we welcome anybody who help us and as you mentioned, Iran was the first one to give help to Iraq and give hand to Iraq. Even the Kurds, when the threat was very close to Erbil, the first supplies of ammunition that reached Kurds were from Iran, not from other people. So, we’re receiving many claims from other countries that they are supporting Iraq, but on the ground, I say, clearly Iran was the first in everything to support Iraq...."
Iraqi interior minister: Iran was the first in everything to support Iraq

To kick out Zionist occupier from Lebanon .... butthurt?

We're talking about the US fighting with the Iraqi army to defend Iraqi territory. It has nothing to do with Iran or Hezbollah.

Deploying ground troops means casualties...nobody wants that as for now.

Obama doesn't want it because he's afraid of the political cost.

If they did they would be fighting side by side with Shiite militias.

They give them air support now. Iraq is a democracy. ISIS attacked Iraq and many countries came to defend it. The US included. You can't win a war with air strikes alone. Almost all ground forces on Iraqi soil have proven incompetent, disloyal, ill-equipped or insufficient. Western support is needed unless you want Baghdad to be taken over and Iraq be ruled by ISIS. The current leadership is much more wanted by the West...

Mate...clearly you don't know about the situation in the ME. :) It is wayyyy to much complicated than what you are saying.

It's just a fact that both the West and Iran see Iraq as a common ally. I'm not buying into the sob story that ISIS prevailed due to the suppression of the Sunni minority by the Iraqi govt. They're still butthurt due to the US invasion that put an end to Saddam's tyrannical rule and started escalating their attacks right after the US left Iraq (bad move by Obama).

ISIS is very close to Baghdad, it really will be a surprise if the current forces in Iraq with Western air support can actually push ISIS back...

The only actual goal in Iraq is to return the country to its pre-ISIS position where the level of insurgency will be very low. This can only be achieved if there's US direct intervention and the troops actually stay in Iraq for a longer period this time to clear out all resistance and take their time with reforming the Army and Iraqi institutions.

Iran is another issue. Iran's influence is not wanted because of Iran's current position. In general a hard line should be taken against Iran when it comes to its nuclear program as well as undemocratic and anti-Western institutions, unless serious progress and reforms are noted.

Actually Israel planned complete withdrawal from Lebanon in 1983. Hezbollah foiled this withdrawal as result Israel stayed in Lebanon for another 17 years.

So called Iraqi Army is nothing but subsidiary of Iran and Hezbollah.

Why the Iraqi army consists of %99 Shia ? All the Iraqi F-16 pilots that has been send to US to get training are Shia or Kurd ? We can go on like this forever.

Maliki has been sectarian, he even sentenced to death his ex-vice president (Tarıq al-hashimi who is a sunni). That incompetent, secterian shia fvcked up the country for good. This is the aftermath.

And now shia militias formed to battle ISIS.. where army withdraws and shia militias takes it's place. Which are not better than ISIS in terms of commiting crimes against civilians...Unfortunately, still there is much blood to spill in Iraq.
