On Iran's future possibilities with Sukhoi

Lala, but with jf-17 they can get ToT. But with expensive fighters, they are at the mercy of those countries. Self reliance is better, I think?

true,JF-17 in long term will help them develop the industry.they would also be able to integrate any weapon they want to themself.

e.g Pakistani f-16 doesn't has any Ashm integrated, neither is certified for SEAD role and until 2009-10 had no BVR capability.

But JF-17 offer us anti ship role with CM-400akg and c-80xx,SEAD role with Mar-1,BVR role with Sd-10.

Egypt has F-16 but no BVR integration.

or Iran can scale up the Qaher-313 by 50% then you would have a fighter that will rival the F-35,J-31, and the Korean/Japan fighters :D

Iran has a understanding of stealth material right?

don't let the looks fool you...it only looks like it's made of paper mache.

.
In order to get 5th generation fighters, Iran will have to wait 8-10 years at least. But within 3 years it can have 4th generation fighters and add stealth abilities to turn them into 4.5G. Iran's fighter jet inventory needs to be modernized to be brought to the current level warfare.

Also, I think the J-20 is going to be like the F-22, that is not for export. The Chinese will use it for themselves.
Good post sir,
They can get FC-31 from China well if they want.
20/40 FGFA + 18/36 FC-31 and the beast is ready for the fight ! @haman10 :p:

That system is impressive .We have also invested in it.
If Iran purchase it it would be a game changer .Your power projection will expand to entire middle east.

They have about 250 jets ranging from F-14 to F-4 to F-7 to -F-5 and like10 older Mirages. Having 20-30 advanced SU-50's / FGFA, won't be "any" game changer in the region.
Just next door in Saudi, you have about 400 fighter and strike aircraft (and more coming), including various forms of the -15, Typhoons and Tornados. That's a heck of a force. Add future acquisitions of other jets such as the JSF (potentially or may be the Chinese J-31?), the KSA air force after Israel, tops this region.

I dont know .But it will cause certain challenge to other powers in region.
Anything can happen in future.
If Russia agress for a supply of 100 FGFA to Iran then it would be a certain trouble.
Chinese J 31 is not a match for JSF.
But except JSF nothing cant challenge FGFA.

That's + point for Iran :)
I wouldn't get too excited, China also has very good relations with Saudi Arabia (although they are decreasing their reliance on Saudi oil), also currently China can't export any of J-11, J-15 or J-16 due to sharing Russian designs for the plane's body but it can only sale the J-10 (FC-20).

But it can offer Iran with software for upgrading their weapons.

Ok, all of you need to hold your horses. This is a FAN MADE version rather than published by Sukhoi. Sukhoi had actually published a similar time line for SU-30 rather than SU-50, which this particular fan copied and made into a chart that you see posted in this post. The OP has intentionally got you excited for nothing. There are no SU-50s' for Iran.

And best of all, i bring proof with me.
Timeline shows the potential future of Russia's next-gen fighter jet
Allow me to mention the most important line in the article:
The timeline above was made by a fan based on this official Su-30 graphic by Sukhoi, which has been modernizing its current flagship fighter, the Su-30.

Here is the original time line that the fan copied from, it is for SU-30, and THIS was made by Sukhoi.

All Iran need is the technology they can build 4.5 generation fighters with tot of JF-17 or even mig-35

.
another BS .
as i said it never stops .
they trying to paint rossi picture as if Iran look at Russia as friend .

Like I said, Pakistan will not sell jets to Iran because of Saudi Arabia and US. Mig-35's are quite new and also making a fighter jet isn't easy, you are making a jet that travels at supersonic speeds, a simple scratch can cause it to break-down. Understanding its aero-dynamics, materials to be used for making the body are quite complicated. You need experience for these things and training.

Iran would be better suited off by buying Su-27 and upgrading them with Chinese hardware and software (probably still use Russian engines as Chinese haven't yet mastered theirs).
