Om Puri supports Pakistani artistes in India and said the truth

Veteran actor Om Puri has come out in support of Pakistani actors, saying art and politics should be kept separate and banning the artistes will not change the situation.

Puri said Pakistani artistes are not working illegally here and if they are sent back, Indian producers, who have signed them for their films, will suffer heavy losses.

"When the government is taking an action, we all should stay quiet. It hardly matters if we send back the artists from Pakistan, who are working here, or let them stay. I have been to Pakistan six times and have met people from all strata," the 65-year-old actor said here.

"I have always received love and warmth. If the Pakistani actors leave the projects they are doing here in middle, then people in India (filmmakers) will also face financial loss. Hence, this is insignificant. The actors have not come here through any illegal way. They have valid visa. But, if the government will ask them to leave, then it is different," he said.

Actors, Artists, Singers are not terrorist. They are representation of secular & open mind.
Same thing as we should keep sports away from politics, he is saying right. Singers, Actors have nothing to do in any terrorist activity.

Mr. Puri Few Questions

1. Does the Bollywood, Arts, and Actors are some Allien Species. Does the Farmers, Buisnessman are not the artist, and when we have decided to isolate the Pakistan, then why make you exception, why not cricket, why not buisness man.

2. Did you thought of this, by making such baseless comment, the Pakistani Media will circulate your statement loop and try to project it as the view of the people of India.

3. Why Loss of Bollywood, why not loss of BCCI, loss of buisnessman, Loss of farmer.

4. Care to explain, why you supporting the Pakistani Actors, who could not even condemn the act of terrorism, they were not needed to condemn the Pakistan, rather the terrorism. Does the death of Indian Life is so cheap for you.

5. Care to explain, why those artists when reaching Pakistan now supporting the banning of Bollywood and Indian Media in Pakistan whom you are supporting.

6. Do you think, you and Salman Khan and the people like you represent the real mood of the Indian people right now.

Those were only supposed, because being earning a lot while in India, they choose to stay silence on the act of terrorism, and who is calling them terrorist, but keeping silence on something which is wrong, also prove your admittance of the act. Those people openly condemn the Paris attack, terrorist attack in Peshawar, but when Uri happens they were Mute. This is the Whole issue.

Arts and politics should be separated. ? I kindly disagree.

Art are supposed to interact with our way of thinking and to drive us to a better and more friendly thinking. That could help to construct a better world.

But yes, Bollywood is no more than a propaganda tool as is Hollywood who portray Muslims in general as bad guys, or terrorists. But if Muslims were truly bad and terrorists then everyone should agree that, per number of Muslim population in the world, the world should have been already destroyed, isn't it ?

But nor Bollywood nor Hollywood made a film explaining that wherever Muslims country is destroyed, there was leaders supported and armed against their own populations by the weastern powers or by eastern powers for their own agenda since cold war and even before those times.

I don't have any objections on Pak artists in Indian Cinema, but what this Om Puri guy said is utterly despicable. This guy should shamed and shunned.
