Govt implicitly means all parts. Leadership, intelligence and security. Pakistan would have been sanctioned had they found a smoking gun. The reality is that besides the PR victory, OBL had very little impact on what was/is going on.

Just to be sure, is your skepticism specifically about Americans killing OBL in Pakistan or whether OBL was a real person with flesh and blood? Or both?

Or worse, is it just a coping mechanism?

Did you read the rest of his comments on the state of Pakistan and its relationships with extremist organizations? You know he said it repeatedly when he was President too. Did it give you pause about why world leaders, practically all, say pretty much the same thing?

They have not released the photos of the man's corpse to the public yet but they are providing ample evidence of his existence in that compound:

Osama's family was staying in that compound as well. They were taken into custody after the raid. A smart person can connect the dots.

They might release photos of Osama's corpse one day but at their time of their choosing. Problem is that they do not qualify as PG-13 material. Those who have seen the photos testify that they are really gruesome and disturbing.

Osama's son Hamza, who was also staying in that compound, has wowed revenge not long ago. Not a good time to show him photos of his father's corpse, right?
