Tiny North Korea should at least have a look at the size difference between them and USA.... tiny 120540 sq kms NK is 100 plus times smaller compared to USA...... even several NK nuclear warheads wont be able to wipe out our friend USA.... but one single nuclear warhead by USA is enough to wipe out that parrot Kim along with his entire North Korea permanently.....

If there's a conventional war and South Korea marches up north,depending on the resistance they encounter,they could smash the NK forces and just annex the whole country,if China doesn't interfere. If things were tougher,they could just demand a regime change and peace treaty. But I think they could easily smash them.

Remember,that NK's population often suffer from malnutrition and famine,especially in the northern provinces.

I'm sure some hardcore communists would resist in captured territory or go to the mountains to fight a "guerilla war",but most of the North Koreans would be just happy to get plenty of food and treatment from the South.

Based on what advantage,do you draw this conclusion? What advantages do the North Koreans have in comparison to the South Koreans? They have inferiority in tanks,IFVs,APCs and personal equipment. They have extreme inferiority when it comes to the Navy and their Air Force stands no chance against the South Korean Air Force.

Nukes aren't meant to be dropped and cover every single inch of adversary land, just enough in major population, economics and technological regions to render the country a non-existing threat.

The main goals of the North Korean regime are to survive and stay in power.

as Ukraine is showing, strong morale + numbers + ATGMs and artillery + cover and concealment make any ground advance difficult, even for a country with a vast superiority in conventional arms.

North Korea's terrain is 100x more difficult than Ukraine's. unlike Ukraine which has large swaths of fields and grasslands, North Korea is 80% mountainous forest. It has 1 million troops under arms. It is swimming in artillery and ATGMs.

biggest difference: unlike Ukraine, which is not a NATO member, China has a collective defense treaty with North Korea.
