I have seen many videos, and they prove why they dont have support.

If respect comes from giving away Kashmir to anyone - the Army does not need any respect.Period.

We will respect the Army for not having that kind of respect.

I said nowhere, that Babus are clean but this reporter has clearly mixed the issues of respect of Army and corruption in Army. Both are exclusive and you can't excuse the later under former.

It is you who mixed up the facts and needlessly brought in the Army badmouthing it . The report no where says all Army men must be exempted from airport checks and says even the Armed Force Chiefs are not exempted from the Checks. And that is a very valid demand.

Indian Army is the best military Organisation in the world in terms of human rights because of their unique understanding, handling of situations involving entities and participants from diverse multi-ethinic, multi-cultural backgrounds.

That's exactly what US army has failed to achieve. That's why they are receiving training in "understanding and adapting to diverse cultures" from Indian army, to improve their image amongst Iraq and Afghanistan public.

Rape & Molestation - Approx 1 million

IF we start to evaluate Assam, Bodoland, Tripura, Arunchal Pardesh, Nagaland etc and the atrocities / human rights violations committed there, this thread wouldn't be enough.

It's very easy to point fingers at others, but very difficult to stand up and admit you have serious issues, especially when you are dreaming of becoming a world power.

Indian soldiers 'paraded naked'

Two Indian soldiers have been paraded naked for allegedly attempting to rape a girl in Indian-administered Kashmir, police say.

Angry residents in Kunan village near the northern town of Bandipora beat up the soldiers, stripped them bare and paraded them through the market.

Police have charged the soldiers with attempted rape.

An army spokesman said the charges were baseless, and that the villagers had been incited by "hardliners".

Reports quoting local residents say that the two soldiers, dressed in civilian attire, forcibly entered a house in the village of Kunan on Tuesday evening.

The soldiers are said to have posed as militants and asked the family for food and shelter.

'Gathering intelligence'

The reports said that the soldiers allegedly attempted to rape a teenage girl in the house.

When the girl raised the alarm, neighbours rushed in and joined by the family, beat up the soldiers, stripped them, shaved their heads and smeared soot on their faces, witnesses say.

The soldiers were then paraded naked through the local market by the angry mob, who also shouted slogans against the army.

Police fired tear gas shells and fired in the air to break up the demonstration before taking the soldiers into custody.

Army spokesman Colonel Manjinder Singh said that the soldiers had gone to the village to collect intelligence.

He said some "hardliners" had levelled false allegations against them, and incited the residents.
