Nisar Khoro wins: another era of destruction begins

Punjabis will never tolerate this ultra-nationalist garbage party called PPP. If they want to play ethnic cards we have our own moves.

. .
The one arguing that PPP is the only political party in Pakistan in essence is too thick to realise how much of a biased statement that is.

The one arguing PPP isn’t tyrannical spends their days ignoring; the malnourished kids in Thar, the oppressed kisaan that spends his whole life under the thumb of a wadera, the time PPP almost turned Pakistan into Syria getting on it’s knees in front of Obama through Haqqani, the hellish years of 2008-13 when Pakistan saw inflation and terrorism like never before, how PPP failed it’s own voter base in Lyari by protecting and promoting the likes of Uzair Baloch.

and blaming federal government is the last resort argument for you, blaming the Sindh government is always the last resort for federal government and that is why Karachi is a politically orphaned city. Islamabad replaced Karachi as our nation’s capital, Pretty soon Lahore will overtake Karachi as Pakistan’s most populous city, Gwadar will replace Karachi as our nation’s primary port city and then you and I we can both get down and cry about how our people (Sindhis Muhajirs whoever) let all that happen.

I’ve got better things to do than to talk to some Jiyala so this will be my last reply to you. Let’s just agree to disagree and hope for the best, however foolish it is to be an optimist in the face of improbabilities.
You politely omitted Bhutto Sr's nationalization scheme that severely crippled our private sector industries (manufacturing, chemicals, etc). Sadly, our ruling establishment seems to either rely on the PPP for something or is tolerating them due to some other factor (unclear to me what exactly).

Let me give you a summary at history of how Sindhis were before and after the coming of PPP as a political force in power.

Before 1971, there was no Sindh province as Pakistan was under one unit system and Karachi was separated from Sindh before that. Sindhi language was banned in education and administration from 1948. Demographic changes in nearly every urban centre of Sindh during partition, where Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Khairpur, Nawabshah, Tando Alhayar and Tando Adam became Hindustani Muhajir majority cities. Quota system for Hindustani Muhajirs which made their majority in bureaucracy of Sindh. Sindhi’s were basically orphans with not even a separate administrative unit to call their home.

After 1971 as soon as PPP came in power, it drafted a constitution where Sindh was made a separate province with Karachi as its capital.
Sindhi language was made official language of Sindh and revived in education and administration, where from 3 class to 12th class Sindhi is an compulsory subject in private schools, In 1998 there were 47,444 schools in Sindh out of which 36,750 had Sindhi as medium of instruction. There are billboards, documents such as FIR, CNIC, B-Form, Land papers etc can be made in Sindhi language. Language would only die if we let it die. All attempts of Hindustani Muhajirs failed at others from abandoning their language except for maybe Punjabis.
Urban-Rural quota system was introduced which ensured Sindhi majority in bureaucracy of province.
18th amendment was introduced which gave more autonomy to provinces and Sindh local bodies act took away most of powers of Hindustani Muhajirs.

We’ve come a long way.
So ppp is saviours because they revived Sindhi language and gave power to Sindhis also making it a separate province with autonomy.
This sounds very familiar!
In fact this is exactly what mujib wanted for east Pakistan. Mujib wanted Bengali language to be revived, wanted east Pakistan to have autonomy, wanted to give more power to the locals and wanted to give power to east Pakistan. But, guess who didn’t let this happen? Bhutto!
So what this shows is Bhutto was a selfish guy who only cared about his people no one else!
It shows Bhutto was a traitor of highway degree because whatever he did and wanted for sindh is simply what mujib demanded for east Pakistan. Because of Bhuttos lust for power he destroyed Pakistan in 2 but went on to do the same thing to sindh mujib wanted for east Pakistan.

Just proves ppp and Bhutto are power hungry people who would do anything for power even betray the country and commit treason on highest level!

Bhai Bhutto caused us to lose Bangaldesh I 1971, he destroyed Pakistan's economy. His sons started an insurgency agaisnt Pakistan the 1980's with help of Indira Ghandi with aim of balkanisation of Pakistan. And today they play ethnic card and have destroyed both Sindh and Karachi

all the effort and sindhis eventually became slaves of Wadera and Zardari!

Our ruling establishment can’t get rid of PPP because the alternatives aren’t any better (in fact the alternatives can get very anti-state). Sindhi populace only casts its vote on the basis of language no matter how self destructive that habit is so if PPP falls, the people who will fill that power gap are worse than PPP. That’s just my speculation why PPP is still being kept around.

Ethnic politics is a disease. What about PTI, anyway they can make in roads here?

Yeahhh! Everyone has watched that video of Bhutto bursting out on UNGA and tearing up a draft resolution and walking out. People admire his “swagger” in that moment but all I see is a desperate petty man holding on to power even if it means he splits his country in half because the draft resolution he tore up was by Poland that called for the war to stop and peaceful transfer of power to Mujib, who had won the elections. Now I don’t know what would have happened if history took that turn, I am sure that was a can of worms on it’s own but Bhutto doesn’t deserve the cult like following he gets.

As things are right now, PTI can either appeal to the Urdu speaking masses of Sindh or the Sindhi speaking masses. A party that can unite both and get them to leave their differences behind seems impossible for now.
