Niqab becoming a flash point in Canada

. .
Please write some more and enlighten us, I would really like to know your point of view, and if you could share the point of view of those who disagree, this is very educative

Respected Sir,
First i like to apologize for a long pause.
since this topic has started i am reading everybody's view and some of them including Admin members they have explained it so well. They had quoted saying from Quran and Hadith to make those clear who disagree.

Well you still asked about my view, i do hijab which is compulsory in islam but i also cover my face, this is my wish. To be honest with you i feel freedom , secure and more comfortable while practicing hijab.

its just a matter of accepting one statement and taking it positively.
then you all going to understand why we do hijab. Nowadays Hardly you can see men lower their gaze so insisted of waiting or telling them to lower their gaze its better to cover ourself.

best regards
Good Day:pakistan:

The whole issue is some thing more than a religious issue. At least I will not hesitate for a single moment to consider it more political than religious.

When Quebec assembly moved a bill then a debate ignited in all corners of media. Unfortunately Quebec has decided to follow the foot step of France and became obsessed with its tiny minority with in minority.

In France – where out of 5 million Muslims, 367 wear the niqab (as counted by the domestic intelligence service, no less) – a parliamentary panel has pondered the issue for a year and suggested a ban from schools and hospitals but nowhere else.

In Denmark – where out of 100,000 Muslims, there are less than 200 niqabis (as estimated by the ministry of social affairs), the government is still mulling a ban.

In Quebec, less than 25 women are said to wear the niqab – of whom only 10 turned up last year at the Montreal office of the provincial health board out of 118,000 visitors.

Politically, some analysts think that Jean Charest premier of Quebec has successfully taken the lime light away from Hydro Quebec's $3.2 billion deal to take over NB Power.

The main concern is 50% of Quebec’s immigrants are Muslims from French speaking countries thus posing a “serious” demographic threat.

Also Caucasian French consider still themselves France, their racial attitude towards French speaking immigrant is still very biased

Indeed it is not that.

In France there are two important organizations in the state which independentaly are giving advice or cancel a law. First one just said that it would be automatically canceled if the governement of France would make a law, a law concerning all that even in the streets they have to take off anything hiding part of face, so Hijaab.

It is making noise again here .even if because it is after elections now politics care less.

So seems the law would be this way: in all the places that people need for security or check reason to no wear something : on head Hijaab will be forbidden.
Not only Hijaab but there is something most of you don't know that was making troubles: "the black blocks" these people hiding their faces in total black clothes were destroying parts of the city of Strasbourg and they acted very violent.

For Hijaab matter it should be understood and i respect French advice
that here is very very important matter of rights equal to everyone
for French a woman wearing Hijaab means she is segregated
and most women activists are very hard through this

It is a very complicated situation here for muslims like us
Some people even think scarf is too much !
So we need t least protect this because some women think they should wear it. I didn't feel this way but should be respected this choice when it is really a choice of woman

The world is looking at us now .
We need to show who we are really not this stupid way of Islam , that these fanatics think Islam is force women to hide themselves

Hi one simple question.

If hijab and burqa are made compulsory in Pakistan, what chances do the guys in Pakistan have, to see the face of a woman except the one whom he marries, his mother, and sisters?

They can have fun enforcing that. As if it'll ever happen.

Oh yeah and Hijab doesnt cover face...

The place where i am living they can wear any clothes but they do cover their heads with a scarf.

Like this:

and the marriages are lush with amazing food and lots of gold ornaments are worn.

Hello, pak-yes said - "So i request to all Non Muslims stop Interfering in our Religious matters. We never interfere in Religious matters of Christians, Jews or Hindus and we should expect same from them."

How come you came to conclusion that Sikhism is similar to Hinduism ? Sikhism is a strict monotheistic faith. Sikhs believe in one, timeless, omnipresent, supreme creator. The opening verse of the Guru Granth Sahib signifies this:

Punjabi: ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
Transliteration: Ik ōaṅkār(or ikoo) sat nām karatā purakh nirabha'u niravair akāl mū*** ajūnī saibhaṁ gur prasād.
English: One Universal Creator God. The Name Is Truth. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Timeless One, Beyond Birth, Self-Existent. By Guru's Grace ~

Sikhs believe that God has been given many names, but they all refer to the One God VāhiGurū. The word Guru means teacher in Sanskrit. Sikhs believe that members of other religions such as Islam, Hinduism and Christianity all worship the same god, and the names Allah, Hari, Raam, Paarbrahm and Krishna are frequently mentioned in the Sikh holy scriptures. The Sikh god is known as the Akal Purakh (which means "the true immortal") or Waheguru, the primal being.

Sikhism has had strong influence from both Islam and Hinduism.

Guru Nanak visited Hijaz to learn Holy Scriptures of Islam - Qura'an and Hadees. He was disillusioned with discrimination in Islam and Hinduism and the essence of Sikh teaching is summed up by Nanak in these words: "Realisation of Truth is higher than all else. Higher still is truthful living". Sikhism believes in equality of all humans and rejects discrimination on the basis of caste, creed, and sex. Sikhism also does not attach any importance to asceticism as a means to attain salvation, but stresses on the need of leading life as a householder.

Sati in Sikhism ? :undecided:

By the way, I don't consider myself religious. But I'm very curious person, I have grown up and spent most of my life near Masjid and I sometimes argue with Giyaani's and my own family too that 'but Islam says this etc'. Religion is science yaara, new things to learn everyday, but dont spread your hatred when you dont know about others faith.

Why do you result with insulting me and coming up with false accusations in order to counter me? I do not hate jews, and my thinking is progressive, definately not dark! I am a man of love not hatred, and I promote and speak of love!

But I am also a man of truth, which opposes hypocricy with force and vigilance!

You threw the first stone by calling Islam intolerant to it's followers, which is absolutely false! I responded with the truth, and exposed Hinduism for what it is (Sikhism is very similiar to Hinduism in what I said in my previous post).

Do what you want, but don't instill your irrational hatred on me. The Niqab is a blessing and a sign of freedom and submission to God!

You didn't gave my answer.Infact you are supporting my argument.

So if by your Argument Saudi is a backward,Medieval Place so they enforce these types of Laws.Ok.Right

But what about the enlighten Europeans.I mean they are living in the 21st century all of their constitutions guarantee freedom of Religion so why they are forcing women to remove Hijaab.I mean if they also do this these things then how can they become Champion of Human Rights. When they themselves are banning Parts of Religion and infringing upon the rights of women who WANT to wear Hijaab as a Part of their Faith.
