Nicolas Sarkozy Defeated

I have been wondering how a liberal majority of EU citizen can stick to right wings gov for many years.

then I realized liberals are not socialist, they are at odds against each other in this continent. the americans won't understand the europe.

Good to see Sarkozy Defeated !!.... he was utilizing this power wrongly.... now he should be tried for WAR crimes and Civilian killed in Libya due to his bombing campaign

If i read comments in USA newspapers i can see how US people are totally ignorant about Europe
It is not to insult but it seems that just because there is the word "socialist" they believe they are communist
but it is far from communism

in Europe , partis of different countries in the parliament can be from a same "group": they sign an appartenance to this group of ideas. For exemple PS, parti socialiste, is in the same group than the "social democracy" or "labour parti" in UK
In history in France: the first communist experience was in Paris in 1871 where Paris people were the only ones to resist the German invasion and wanted to be leaded by themselves not by "bourgeois". they were bloody exterminated.
Then it was only communism but in the beg of XX century there were differences between them... for exemple who in France would blame Jaures, considered as an hero, to be an extremist?
in 1920 they decide to divide: communist who believe in revolution and socialist who believe in reform
socialist are elected in France in the same period the Nazi take the power in Germany: first paid hollidays ...
then it is general De Gaulle himself, being conservative, who is giving to france many social reforms that could have been done by socialists... someone said De Gaulle was communist???
in 1981 socialists needed the communists to come to power and they made a strong social/communist program.. until a year later they found out it was impossible and disaster so they stop it . they were making a social liberal policy.
Then socialist always been social liberal.

What are strong difference with Sarkozy:
1/ priorité for education
2/ for the richest people, more taxe: not more tax on companies but for rich people
3/ france should come back to production and Europe should invest in production , but more important the main idea: Europe should care about growth not about austerity programs
My self i didn't believe totally in their program (i prefer the US tax system) but they are not "communist" for sure

Investment business?
Well this is sadly nothing to do with any parti for this problem:
1/ france is still "old fashionned": working too much with "relations" and it is hard for a new one to get contracts
2/ banks are the main reason of problems here: they don't invest in companies like in USA:
they don't want to take any risk ! they land money if you already have this money !
3/ cost of work is expensive but productivity is very good: still they start to look at the german model to improve it

ah by the way PS wants to do many policies of USA: monetization (problem of central bank), policy for growth not for austerity

I understand the differences between European socialists and Communists. I also understand how high the tax rates are in France especially on businesses. And the socialists championing of all the social welfare and entitlement programs france has. If france stopped taxing business so much and enacted laws to encourage french businesses to modernize and expand. you would find more jobs available. To be fair this problem isn't unique to france. And even the US is slipping down that same path.

Gaddafi helped Sarkozy win before, and now he helped him lose.

Wishing good luck for Hollande:tup: May you rule France well and rid the French of unemployment
for as much as you can, and get Dassault ready to sign a $20-bln deal with India for jets...when I came to
know Rafale won MMRCA, I though Sarkozy would be prez when deal would be signed but Hollande grabbed
the chance, Im pretty hopeful that this huge deal would revamp French industry a lot and create
lots of new jobs, creating employment seems to be the agenda for Mr. Hollande, this deal with India would
help him do it to a considerable extent:agree:

Why people talking about the Forgin policy of the French President who has just taken the office ???
Let the guy deal with internal policies first. Then he will improvise Forgin policies.
As far as Forgin relations are considered policies don't change 180 degree without strong reasons. New guy will just decide speed and depth of process.

A sweeping majority of Muslim voters in France cast ballot for Socialist candidate Francois Hollande in the run-off election, a new survey has found, the Business Insider reported Tuesday, May 8.

"It is the mark of a true rejection of Nicolas Sarkozy" said Julien Goarant, research director at Opinionway.

Hollande defeated his right-wing incumbent Sarkozy with 52 percent in Sunday’s runoff vote.

A survey of 10,000 voters conducted by Opinionway for Le Figaro showed that 93 percent of Muslims voted for Hollande in the runoff.

Another poll put the Muslim support for the Socialist candidate at 85 percent.

The percentage is much higher than the first round when 59 percent of Muslim voters cast ballot for Hollande.

 to Sarkozy.

With the socialist taking office, the 'nanny state' has just returned to Europe. A giant, collective hand has been thrust out, looking for a free ride.

THE 'EURABIA' MYTH; MUSLIMS TAKE OVER EUROPE? SORRY, THERE'S NO CHANCE

A RASH of pop prophets tell us that Muslims in Europe are reproducing so fast and European societies are so weak and listless that, before you know it, the continent will become "Eurabia," with all those topless gals on the Riviera wearing veils.

Well, maybe not.

The notion that continental Europeans, who are world-champion haters, will let the impoverished Muslim immigrants they confine to ghettos take over their societies and extend the caliphate from the Amalfi Coast to Amsterdam has it exactly wrong.

The endangered species isn't the "peace loving" European lolling in his or her welfare state, but the continent's Muslims immigrants - and their multi-generation descendents - who were foolish enough to imagine that Europeans would share their toys.

In fact, Muslims are hardly welcome to pick up the trash on Europe's playgrounds.

Don't let Europe's current round of playing pacifist dress-up fool you: This is the continent that perfected genocide and ethnic cleansing, the happy-go-lucky slice of humanity that brought us such recent hits as the Holocaust and Srebrenica.

THE historical patterns are clear: When Europeans feel sufficiently threatened - even when the threat's concocted nonsense - they don't just react, they over-react with stunning ferocity. One of their more-humane (and frequently employed) techniques has been ethnic cleansing.

And Europeans won't even need to re-write "The Protocols of the Elders of Zion" with an Islamist theme - real Muslims zealots provide Europe's bigots with all the propaganda they need. Al Qaeda and its wannabe fans are the worst thing that could have happened to Europe's Muslims. Europe hasn't broken free of its historical addictions - we're going to see Europe's history reprised on meth.

The year 1492 wasn't just big for Columbus. It's also when Spain expelled its culturally magnificent Jewish community en masse - to be followed shortly by the Moors, Muslims who had been on the Iberian Peninsula for more than 800 years.

Jews got the boot elsewhere in Europe, too - if they weren't just killed on the spot. When Shakespeare wrote "The Merchant of Venice," it's a safe bet he'd never met a Jew. The Chosen People were long-gone from Jolly Olde England.

From the French expulsion of the Huguenots right down to the last century's massive ethnic cleansings, Europeans have never been shy about showing "foreigners and subversives" the door.

And Europe's Muslims don't even have roots, by historical standards. For the Europeans, they're just the detritus of colonial history. When Europeans feel sufficiently provoked and threatened - a few serious terrorist attacks could do it - Europe's Muslims will be lucky just to be deported

behind every successful Man their is a woman, Holland must than Carla Bruni for that;)

Let ME 'thank' Carla...:bunny:

peace out!

It is the correct path, in order to develop human beings to their full potential, you need good education, good healthcare and good nutrition for all people, including the poor. The US is on a self destructive course, where wealth is concentrating at the top and the zombie population programmed with corporate media are drugged with chemical and hormone and fed with sugar and are turning out to be increasingly sick, obese and diabetic.
