get out the disgusting slume just for once to see the real world for your holy cow's sake```your delusion is beyond any human known boundary````especially for people like us who have traveled dozens of countries, spent years abroad````and India is one of them, to me it is the most chaotic, poorly planned and disgusting of them all, and thats a fact!
cow will speak Vedic before India becomes developed, and thats a fact too

You are just butthurt by the fact that India could do better than China did because there is proof of it.

Kerala. Same HDI as China with 1/3rd the per capita income. This is fact.

Lolno. You don't use linear extrapolation on HDI because of diminishing returns. Life expectancy and mean education level gets more difficult to increase from a higher base. It's much easier to raise your life expectancy from 70 to 75 than 75 to 80. Not even the US reached a life expectancy of 80 and they have basically plateaued.

Like I said, why don't you extrapolate India's HDI figures to 2050 then? India will be the first country to reach a HDI of 1.00 going by your logic.

Lmao. So instead of linear extrapolation which is already flawed, you're suggesting India will experience a exponential uplift in HDI?

If your economy is growing fast enough, you add more than 0.1 to your HDI every year until you get above 0.8. It gets harder from there.

What brings about greater change is technology. Technology will be the main driver for increasing HDI, particularly health.

Fact: India will get to China's HDI at half of China's GDP.

No, India won't. You are probably one of the most disillusioned members here in this forum and you're probably the reason why the Chinese members here keep on mocking Indians for being disillusioned. All you have got to say is 'India will do this by 2030... Even though with much lower GDP...', trying to imply that India's system is vastly superior.

You don't substantiate your claims with facts and in the rare occasion that you do, your figures are wrong. Such as the claim that Kerala has a similar HDI with France but in fact is still lower than Guangxi, one of the poorest province in China. Linear extrapolation is already flawed but you continue to believe India will experience exponential HDI growth. And when I point that out, you conveniently brush it away and continue your same old boasting, 'India will...'. No? Then let's continue.

India is adding a little more than 0.1 to the HDI score every year with very sketchy economic growth.

If your economy is growing fast enough, you add more than 0.1 to your HDI every year until you get above 0.8.

Where's your source that 'India is adding a little more than 0.1 to the HDI score every year'?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_Human_Development_Index

India added 0.009 to the HDI score, far lower than your claims. China and Malaysia have far higher HDI than India or Kerala, and is adding 0.010. I don't see them claiming that they are going to have the HDI of US or France by 2030.

You are just butthurt by the fact that India could do better than China did because there is proof of it.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerala
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_...s_of_Greater_China_by_Human_Development_Index

I'm sure the Chinese are butthurt. Kerala, India's highest HDI state, still has lower HDI than Xinjiang or Guangxi province.

Fact: India will get to China's HDI at half of China's GDP.

You just proved my point. Classic example of boasting with NOTHING to substantiate. How is a fact when it doesn't even happen yet? Do we have different definitions of the word, 'fact'?

HDI is the weighted average of 3 indices: Life expectancy, Education, Income. If India can reach China's HDI with half the income, then India's life expectancy and education must VASTLY outperform China's. And we all know that's BS coming out from you again. India's life expectancy and literacy rate is still very much third-world while China is already approaching developed country group in these two areas. India won't catch up with China in two decades even if China suddenly stops developing.

Maybe by 2050. India will somehow reach a HDI of 1.00, a world first, with their exponential HDI growth. I don't even understand the logic that life expectancy and mean years of schooling can grow exponentially when it's mathematically impossible.

Indian is already far ahead of even most so called developed countries. One example is India's rail technology such as India's semi-bullet trains or half-a-bullet train. Not only is India the first in this technology, it's the only country to produce half-a-bullet trains.

Anyone hwo laughs at India's half-a-bullet trains is a hater and haters gonna hate! :agree:

India wants to become a developed country by 2030 but they can't build basic infra or modernise the ones already built, the latest one yesterday in Mumbai, 22 people dead, happened in central Mumbai at Elphinstone Station, having used that station when I was in Mumbai I can't believe that the bridge is so narrow, now this tragedy, but Indians turn a blind eye to all and yet they want to be a developed country. Corrupt country where human lives don't matter, the cow matters more, I am sorry Indians will get offended by this, but I don't really care, before you Indians start to abuse me fix your country and then start dreaming.

I hear India is getting the bullet train? You know what would be a brilliant idea? Fix the crumpling infrastructure in India first, I actually loved India but I cant stand Indians getting on internet forums and bragging about how wonderful their country is, lets face it human lives matter more than getting on the net and talking shit.

Just look at previous posts. I have provided links. HDI growth rate has been similar to China's.

You will see it for yourself. Things have been changing rapidly here, particularly the reforms in the last 3 years. We have been having a good growth in HDI without these reforms.

Life expectancy
Kerala
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...fespan-of-74-9-years/articleshow/55087367.cms
Kerala has the highest lifespan of 74.9 years

China
http://www.asiaone.com/china/chinese-life-expectancy-more-76-years
Chinese life expectancy up to more than 76 years

Literacy rate
Kerala
http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/...s-Kerala-in-literacy/articleshow/22416019.cms
India's northeastern state of Tripura achieved the first position in literacy with 94.65 per cent, beating Kerala (93.91 per cent),

China
https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/fields/print_2103.html
96.4%

Per capita
Kerala = $3100
China = $8100

I am not belittling China here. What I am saying is India has ways to raise all HDI figures without having to match western levels of wealth. This is proven fact, you can see it yourself. How can you call stuff that's already happened as unsubstantiated claims? How is this an illusion? How would you explain the above?

Maybe India's system is not superior, but Kerala's definitely is. And the govt is trying to emulate that pan-India. So, no China and Malaysia cannot claim the same because they don't have a single province like Kerala. The Kerala model can be emulated everywhere in India. Maybe other developing countries can do the same.

India actually has a far superior health system for farm animals than people. Funny that. But even health is undergoing major reforms, for example free medicines to the entire population.

I forgot to mention one more thing. A lot of India's policies are not gradual like in China, it's sudden.

Take internet data for example. In mid 2016, India was the 130th largest data consumer. In just 6 months India became the largest data consumer in the world. All in a matter of a few months.

So whenever good policy decisions are made, things start moving really fast.

That thing in Mumbai is a stampede. It has nothing to do with infrastructure.

Here's one example:
https://www.theguardian.com/news/20...image-mecca-stampede-saudi-arabia-mina-valley

Do you think Saudi Arabia has infrastructure problems?

Here's a list of stampedes that have happened throughout history.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_human_stampedes#20th_century

It's happened everywhere.

.
I don't think even Indians believe this. Need proof? just look at how many times China is mentioned here. China is a developing country and will remain so in 2030. Why on earth do they compare India with China, a developing country, while they try to make India a developed country? Isn't it more proper to compare with an existing developed country?

. . .
I did prove it. Kerala has the same HDI as China's at 1/3rd the per capita.

I'm just going to stop at here. I've shown you the statistics and yet you continue to ignore it. Kerala's HDI is only at the level of Guangxi province when you claimed that it's similar to the US's.

What's Kerala's HDI? What's China HDI?

0.72 and 0.74.
