What's new

New Anti army laws to be passed by NA

.
I don't agree with the bill more balanced approach should have made in issue as a citizen everyone has a right to question army and any public office if they do anything wrong but at same time what leaders do to mallaign the army for their politics is wrong too you can't mix all things in one jar

In Pak everyone uses a law wrong even army leaders etc better should not give clean chit to anyone

.
Other than 2-a and 2-b, I don't see how this does any major harm.

@tarrar @American Pakistani

Really? Making sure the army is financially accountable, is somehow corrupt and deserves a coup?

I expected this sort of simple thinking from @tarrar but not you @American Pakistani , especially considering you're an expat, which means you not only enjoy democratic values yourself, but at this point, you have no right to demand anything from Pakistan. How dare you?

@tarrar you have no idea what you're talking about. If you had it your way, Pakistan would be like north korea.

.
it is not possible nor we support such kind of amends that is the stupidity.and a kind of high treason.

every pakistani can differentiate between a civil and military institution.
The NAB itself is a corrupt institute
This lolliop is for minimizing nawaz case.nothing more.
Hope we see a fast action from military in this regard.

.
Military should take over enough of the politicians we don't need political broken system appoint as Imran Khan as a care taker Admistrator to bring Judicial reform in process :) Problem solved

Kill two birds with one move

The main problem we have is that the Politicians do not have an ethical review body over the bills they pass , politicians who have no ethical check will continue to bring laws that are unethical

Simple. Because, so far, the Army is the one independent and powerful institution in this country that can grab the bull by the horn and make it submit.

Maybe 5 years ago, but the judiciary has become quite an independent and powerful force as well.

The army should have been accountable to the NAB from the beginning. Let's not pretend that the army isn't corrupt as well, the only difference is that the army corruption tends to not affect the average citizen.......unless, you're talking about the Musharraf era.

.
There are now 4 distinct pillars of power in pak... judiciary army and assembly... and media

No one shud be able to undermine any of these

Oh Bhai they will change the definition of treason to say anyone who calls them a traitor is a traitor himself. What will you do then?

I don't think its authentic... it will b suicidal

Well I support (4-a) amendment cuz I am a supporter to increase the powers of CJSC.
otherwise just abolish that seat.

Sir, with all due respect, what is the use of democracy when these politicians have destroyed the country in 9 years of continuous democratic rule? Don't you see Pakistan buried deep down due to corruption and heavy debts. Who is going to pay all this? To distract public from bad governance and to hide their chori chakari, these politicians have found new tactics. This way both, the public and the army will stay occupied and the kartoot of politicians will remain hidden.

A vast majority of the problems that Pakistan faces today is from the Musharraf era. From the circular debt to the energy crisis.

While the civilian leadership is corrupt to the bone, their corruption is getting harder to maintain. Even then, the judiciary is there to do its job, and make sure the political parties are kept under watch.

The debt of Pakistan would be there, whether it was the army or the civilians in charge, because finances don't suddenly change, just because there is a change in government.

The very fact the army has not gotten too involved in political matters anymore is evidence enough that even the army knows a take over would be a bad idea. Pakistan lives in this century, and moving forward, it will face a lot of challenges, but if the army takes over, Pakistanis as a nation will never learn how to face them.

Judiciary powerful? The judiciary that is unable to enforce its writ and cannot do anything to flagrant contempt of court in public? You gotta be kiddin' me!

.
The time is nigh for a "revolt" within PMLn....I think this is the next event that will happen.

.
Heard that actually politicians wants that post of Colonel or above need to be approved by Assembly or Senate and an I.B Chief could be appointed as NAB Chairman.

Assembly or Senate approving army promotions and see the army as current Police

I.B which is under direct control of sitting P.M means loyalty remains to ruling party and turning NAB into useless department. Also, we recently heard a bit about few I.B officers nexus due to PMLn/N.S with rivals.

So just look at these two points and draw your feasibility or findings that where it is heading and what are the intentions of corrupt lot.

.
only thing required is independent audit of army.it will better for utilization of defence budget and
reduce corruption in army and
will strengthen army.
