The only "HERO" that India ever had, will ever have. after declassifying the files, GoI must declare him "The Father Of The Nation"... and print notes with his face, not the bald one currently there and declare 23rd january national holiday and scrap 2nd october from holiday list

This is the precise reason the files needs to be declassified actually. It will show how the newly independent India's top political leadership actually betrayed the man who galvanised the whole country for freedom. No doubt Gandhiji is an important figure but so is Bose..
Somewhere during the period of 1940s and 50s whatever Nehru did if it is to save the country then its actually understandable but if he did to preserve his own position fearing that return of Bose would mean end of his political career then the INC needs to apologise to the nation for downsizing and betraying the nation's hero for the sake of personal gain,

The public domain is already filled with all such views so i believe its better the truth is told bluntly

This issue needs some push!!!
But i think it should be used as a trumpcard for next elections...

Not the right time to declassify wait till 2019 elections are near Congress which is already irrelevant will be wiped out

@PARIKRAMA I really dont think an apology would make any difference. Infact that might earn 'em some brownie points and some public sympathy. The men responsible for Bose's death (assuming it was Nehru &Gandhi) 're already in their grave. Lets not forget how Bill Clinton's apology got him a second term as President (just an example )

We may have to print new currency notes though.

A note should be a note with just the Indian national emblem on it.
Monuments and freedom fighters can be bracketed according to their religion, and ergo they should be avoided.
I would support the idea of removing Gandhi's picture from our Indian currencies but not replacing it with something else (if thats what @SarthakGanguly meant).

Do you want to believe that politicians spare currency notes without photo ?
BJP for Hedegwar, congress for Nehru, janta family parties for Lohiya, SAD for Badal, BSP for Kashiram, some VHP Bajrang Dal extremist for Ram or Krishna, Mamta for Kaba would be fight for their photo to print on national currency.

When you remove Bapu's photo from notes there would be huge turf in politics including in public too.
Then every party wants to make their pet leaders's photo on currency. Its historically proved that BJP is not less moron than Congress difference is later got less chance to rule & does not have single family rule. Bapu is not personal property of Congress which BJP supporter trying to remove from currency.
Status quo is perfect.

Many time I never agree with my Grand Father in dealing things but I respect him & miss him very much.
Bapu & Netaji have two generation gap.
Neither Bapu make Netaji on his path neither Netaji make Bapu agree to his path.
Both are firm in their decision but respect each other
