What's new

Nepal bans almost all Indian cable news channels for spreading fake news and propaganda

I only have my guard down when I'm dealing with Goans or West Bengalis.

I went to school with Indians, I know in and out :)

This is why I don't open my posts with a round of profanity and abuse like 80% of PDF posts about India.

Goans are very cool people too. But their culture is very identical to the Marathis. Goa is one of the best places in India, I personally love it there. They also eat a lot of fish like you Bengalis do.

I was at one of these rave parties in Goa in 2011. The dealers were Bangladeshis, LOL. But they spoke Konkani like the natives. Thanks to them I had a great time (and did some unspeakable things).

The best parties and raves are those where unspeakable things happen.

I want to visit Kerala, nice people.

Thiruvananthapuram looks nice, barring the atrocious name.

Bangladesh is doing great, actually. It's currency is almost at par with Indian rupee. Probably the strongest economy in South Asia after India.

Lots of Indian students study medical science in Bangladesh. Lots of Indians even work there from what I know. They all consider it a friendly country.

Just a few idiots online don't represent everything.

Based on your profile pic, you look like one of those dealers. :cheesy: You're definitely not a straight arrow, a friendly flaming guy like me. All you need is gold chains to get the pimp act straight.

Kerala is really nice. I had my wedding honeymoon there many years ago.

Students are mostly just Kashmirs and Manipuris and Assamese, since the NE states don't have capacity for the all the students, it's cheaper for them to study in Bangladesh than in say Bangalore.

Amazingly, Manipuris and Assamese are also the biggest Bengali haters on planet earth but good on them, they leave their pride back home when they come to our country.

I'm curious to know what are your thoughts on overpopulation in India and solutions to the demographic timebomb that is overpopulation.

If the total fertility rate goes down below 2.1, i.e. not more than 2 children per woman, then there won't be any trouble. The lower classes in both our countries have 5-6 children, and they can't provide for them. They need education, and an understanding that having so many children is counterproductive.

How preposterous, I'm a pioneer in the art of pimping, if anything you should learn from me. :cheesy:

Me after a good sale. :cheesy:

Hahh hah, nice one. You make a lot of money, eh? Good we can deal hard in the future.

Sylhetis are physically distinct. They tend to be taller, fairer, and have high cheekbones; even more Tibeto-Burman blood in them than the rest of us. People don't understand; we are not Hindustanis speaking a distorted version of Hindi.
Most Sylhetis are Bengalis. They look nothing different than common Bengalis.

Sylhetis who say such things are those with an identity crisis who wants to look like Persian, Pakistani, European and ashamed of their own culture and tradition.

But yes Sylhetis are fair than most Bengalis and this has got to do with the geographical location not ethnic group themselves.

Taller? Are you even real? Sylhetis have a height just like regular bengalis. Most Sylheti men are 5.6-5.8 I would call that average height.

Also Sylhetis are no Tibeto Burman race. In Bangladesh, only the Buddhist community both Barua and Tribal can be considered as Tibeto Burman race.

Sylhetis look more like North Indian on average.

This is Rushnara Ali MP from Sylhet. This is the physical characteristics of most Sylheti women. Typical Sylhetis doesn't look anything like you described. I have met thousands of Sylhetis.

Heh heh.

Calm down. Nobody said that Sylhetis are a Tibeto-Burman race, any more than anyone said that Bengalis are a Tibeto-Burman race. It might help you to go back and look at the exact wording I used.

As for the rest of your rather apoplectic post, I have posted my observations. Up to you to decide if your observations match, or not.

This is an abject lie, no Assamese ever goes to Bangladesh for studies, be it medical science or something else. On the contrary, your people come to various parts of India including NE for the treatment of most basic of ailments.

Okay, I literally didn't know multiple Assamese who rented flats in my family building while studying at a nearby medical school, okay whatever helps you sleep well at night.

Nobody goes to NE for treatment, thats a figment of your vivid imagination. Most goto Bangalore or Kolkata and whats wrong with that ? It shows we can afford to come to India for treatment and you guys make the visa process smooth, just to get our money.

You should be grateful, we're injecting money into your economy.

Speaking of lies, why did you report my posts on the other thread ? everything there was deleted and I know it was you who reported me after you couldn't refute the points I made.

Must be from WB and such, i belong to the same field so know my stuff. Healthcare infrastructure here is pretty solid for a small state. We cater for the entire NE, mostly.

Do people in BD watch WB channels? Like, are they really popular? And why do you say they are cancerous?
WB tv channels, music and movies are very popular in BD, as are the hindi and south Indian ones. Over the years, it's become an inseparable part of their culture. I have observed that the Bangladeshi folks coming to India for treatment are all fluent in Hindi. Many movies and songs there are copies of our content. From a cultural point of view, they can be considered as an extension of our country... Hence it's irksome to some of them.
