They will sell missile defense system to India and after that will come to Pak to sell some kind of Anti missile defense system. In fact they are milking both countries

Reality check............they are not selling anything that advanced to you guys.....so do not try to elevate your country to the level of India as far as defense co operation is concerned... you do not offer them anything positive ....neither as a market nor as a development partner.............do not flatter yourself.

They are not talking about any sell. India already rejected Patriot, which US generally sell. This is about technology cooperation.

What major system they sold to Pakistan? What do you mean by anti-missile defence system?

Indians should realise that there will be a price to pay for anything from US/Nato and that is joining an anti-Chinese Alliance.

India will do better to concentrate on building up their own system and not become a pawn of greater powers.

to defend against Pakistani missiles we need to develop ABM's capable of intercepting missiles of the 3,000km range as anything higher would overshoot India as for China 6,500km would do the job

i think we should go with US into developing the anti missile shield (us getting full TOT and manufacturing rights)

i wonder what the Pakistani response to the Indian ABM shield will be........ judging from now my guess is they're increasing quantity of missiles and warheads with a growing nuclear warhead stockpile launches of like 50 missiles within 10 minutes... sounds scary to say the least in that case we will just need to get a lot of ABM's 2 for each missile to ensure kill probability of 99.8%

Exactly what would pakistan response be. They would not just sleep and let indian get such a lead to neutralise pakistani nukes. So perhaps the best defence and safer and cheaper option is for all neighbours leaders to solve all our issues peacefully through diplomatic means amicably

This speaks a lot people. Our earlier concern was that Russians would be isolated if we joined. But now we can easily accept this proposal without the fear of any geo-political losses.

But why? India got nukes. so pakistan went and got nukes. If india did this it will encourage pakistan and others to take countermeusures. Why dont we resolve our issues peacefully. China can and will spend money to get around these misiles and it will only be a matter of time before they sell/give it to pakistan why encourage this arms race that is detremental to all our people in the neighbourhood

I think you don't understand the concept and expenses of ABM. It's very expensive and it takes decade to develop such technology. China is developing her ABM which will be operational by 2020. We are also developing 2 Layer of quality ABM. AAD/PDV- 2,000KM (2014) and AD-1,2 - 5,000 KM (2016). Everything going as per schedule and we started the development some 6-7 years back.

Also, US has offered Patriot System, Russia has offered S-400/500 (we already have S-300). We can also Buy Arrow-3 from Israel. We will be operating our ABM which will be world class. If it won't serve the purpose or fail for any reason (which i don't know as of now), We can always Buy any of the 3 best ABM from US, Russia and Israel. These systems won't be sold to any other country (neighbour of India). In Short, We will have best ABM in future even if our fails (chance is negligible). China is far behind and long way to go. Pakistan can't buy from Russia, Israel, US nor it can develop on own. So, Only hope on China that also after 10 years minimum (that also If China makes something good and imports to Pakistan which also no one can confirm). A very hypothetical situation for Pakistan and 100% sure for India.
