why was it so easy to pass gun control reform in canada though because clearly didn't it go against the charter rules? How come the interest groups didn't have as much influence?
In the US, NRA has sooo much influence and congress can't do much in regards to guns due to the constitution. Why is this not the case in canada?

You live in US, you should know this better, ever wonder how Nra and other influential groups are surviving in this date, because they have huge support of people, the general public, people in US keep guns as a jewllery, as a toy, as a sport, try to take a gun away from someone in texas and see what they do to you, thats how these group fight for them, they get donations in millions, it is the culture in US as it is in pakistan.
With canada situation is totally opposite, percentage of people with firearm is less, hence less influence, plus public has no gun culture....

To be honest i like the controls which are in place today in canada, i mean if sporting,hunting, and collection is your passion then one can still do it easily.....though i would like to see m4s semi auto on the non prohibited list....
Btw this perception is wrong that gun control will bring peace,,, it will give rise to black market
