Thanks mate. I just asked as my wife-to-be used to follow Serb/Croat Orthodox church, later she converted to Islam while with me. The conversion had nothing to do with me. I am a bad role model to convert anyone to Islam. Maybe out of love, but she knows in very clear terms that I was perfectly happy with whatever religion she was following earlier. Similarly, my family didn't care either.

Actually more related to Syrian Orthodox church.

We used to have the arch Bishope of Antioch as our head!!

Then after a great power struggle. (Dunno the exact reason, the fight started before I was born.. They blame us and we blame them..) We established our own head in Kottayam Kerala and the church divided in to two.. Till now the feud is still there and cases between our community are still there regarding the posession of churches.. Many ancient and famous churches were closed down due to the cases filed in the court. Our side is that since India has more members in the church than in Syria, why we need a head from Syria to rule us.. and For them its like they will forget mother but wont forget the Antioch ..(Its a famous slogan of them)..
