They did itGot my point....?
India claims to have destroyed the satellite at 300 km alt while the ISS floats at 400 km, so some of the pieces could in fact reach and hit it. However, I don't know how did they calculate 400 pieces especially since he claims that only 60 pieces are large enough to be detected while rest are too small for the sensors so I really wonder how did he arrive at this number 400.
But he claimed 400 pieces.Combined Space Operations Center Vandenburg has confirmed it's tracking upwards of 250 objects from the 27 March intercept:
CSpOC is where the US bases its GBI interceptors for counter-ICBM exercises and where the USAF launches many of its rockets.
With ground and space sensors and tracking equipment, I'd say their count is reliable.
you can't track very small debris, maybe? But he claimed 400 pieces.
But in the same article, he claims that only 60 pieces are large enough to be tracked.you can't track very small debris, maybe?
250+ to 400 hmmm, What say you O wise one?But he claimed 400 pieces.
This story has more holes, than swiss cheese. But in the same article, he claims that only 60 pieces are large enough to be tracked.
Rest is papparazzi masala.. i think khafee was hinting at thatBut in the same article, he claims that only 60 pieces are large enough to be tracked.

I think they needed something for chest thumping of bhindus after Pakistan whooped their arse in a comprehensive way so to cheer up their ally they did it and this he can use in his elections.250+ to 400 hmmm, What say you O wise one?
could be.. don't remember.. last few days.. but there are 20k pieces of debris in that orbit .. Nasa is just being melodramatic...I have a feeling something is wrong? What day was Indian missile?

Could be debris interference?

Here is the line from the articleRest is papparazzi masala.. i think khafee was hinting at that
It created at least 400 pieces of orbital debris last week, with just 60 large enough to track.

they must after after a new budget for something... i mean they haven't been supplying anything for our space program for 20 plus years.. so, they have no leverage.. what else would they want with this noise, except some more budget? Here is the line from the article
agree... But what about the 20k plus pieces od debris in that orbit already? they are a risk these guys are living withNASA could be melodramatic but the debris could present a risk to ISS also.
well, the immediate goal seems to win the elections.they must after after a new budget for something... i mean they haven't been supplying anything for our space program for 20 plus years.. so, they have no leverage.. what else would they want with this noise, except some more budget?
