What's new

Narendra modi 'NaMo' now a word, makes its entry into Gujarati dictionary

Praveen, If you look at all other states of india, everyone of them has only 2-3 cities that can be truly called Tier 1 city.

Yes, i am familiar with other undeveloped parts of UP but it takes one implosion to reciprocate to other areas of state.

Like how many townships have shown up in ghaziabad and ghautam bhudh nagar. Agra-Gr-Noida expressway, Meerut is also getting direct highway from ghaziabad.

Boxer bhai. I would simply compare UP with Bihar.

Both had common problems.

Bihar rised from ashes under Nitish. UP simply lacks a Modi or Nitish.

People of UP are confused with too many parties with too many self proclaimed messiah's.

Give it some time mate.

Now come on. It has been 62 years.

Jawaharlal Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, AB Vajpayee are the PM's from UP.

UP elects Sonia Gandhi (Chairperson UPA) and Rahul Gandhi (Congress General Secretary).

What else you need?

IF you see South Indian states

Andhra Pradesh,Tamil Nadu,Karnataka and Kerala and compare their development with UP uniformly compare the rural and urban areas in these states you will see a uniformity in the standard of living.

The telangana region is a little bit undeveloped that to due to lack of resources unlike UP

AP had NTR,Chandra Babu, YSR.

Karnataka had Krishna, Yediruppa.

Tamilnadu had MGR.

UP simply lack a charismatic leader. People saw one in Mayawati and she disappoints big time.

Where farmers are selling their daughters /wives to sahukar's.

Where lawlessness is a common.

Where people dont know what electricity is.

Where even the commodities like water are subject to approval of feaudals.

>Same in MP,bihar, jharkhand, chattisgarh, even maharastra etc

> No, but comparing with bihar is absolute nonsense.

> Thanks to tehri dam now taken away by uttranchal.

> Try to rent a home in South delhi where people owning Honda's & mercedes and living in worth over crore house are on street with buckets in their hand.

.
>Same in MP,bihar, jharkhand, chattisgarh, even maharastra etc

That is not a justification for a state who has given most PM's to India.

> No, but comparing with bihar is absolute nonsense.

Why not? People, languages, common problems all are the same.

> Try to rent a home in South delhi where people owning Honda's & mercedes and living in worth over crore house are on street with buckets in their hand.

I didn't got the point at all.

> UP society is plagued by politics. These cowboys of UP are mainly responsible for law and order problem. Also thanks to presence of major holy places of hindus, communal and caste politics are also encouraged.

> Yes problems maybe common but not law and order situation. UP has basically gang based violence but bihar also has anti national violence. when did you last heard railway tracks being blown up in UP or grenades used in firefight ?

> Delhi has major water scarcity as compared to UP.

AP had NTR,Chandra Babu, YSR
.
1)NTR was/is considered a god by Telugus and is the ultimate showman .He layed the foundation for development in Andhra
2)YSR had done some effective implementation of infrastructure projects and welfare schemes
3)Chandrababu brought IT and excellent education in Andhra(Andhra has some 630 engineering collages)

Karnataka had Krishna, Yediruppa.
Verrappa Moily ,Mokshagundam vishveswarayya
Tamilnadu had MGR.
God of Tamils akin to NTR
Again Karunanidhi ,Kamaraj Nadar and Anna dorai cannot be dismissed

You are further backing my point.

UP lack dynamic and charismatic leader who will prove his/her metal.

People saw charisma in Mayawati but all she is delivering is statues and parks.

Who cares about his so called development in Gujarat. Under his watch, hundreds if not thousands died, everything he does now is irrelevant. Bloody mass murderer.

Under his watch per capita income of Muslims is highest in India.

Higher than Kerala and WB where Communists are ruling.

Lalu backs Modi on compulsory voting

PATNA: Backing the Gujarat government's move to make voting compulsory in local body polls, RJD supremo Lalu Prasad on Monday said it should be extended to Lok Sabha and assembly polls too.

Making voting compulsory in the elections to urban bodies is a stand that deserves to be supported," Prasad told reporters when his attention was drawn to Gujarat Assembly passing the landmark bill in this connection.

"There has been a gradual decline in the voting percentage in elections to the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha," he said, adding it would be worthwhile if voting was made compulsory for elections to Parliament and state legislatures.

"It (making voting compulsory) will be in the larger interest of the country, democracy and parliamentary norms," the RJD chief said.

First of all things are no at all right in UP.

CRIME:-
I live in Lucknow and crimes like joint rape in car, murders and police harassment are like daily perks.Their are even more unregistered crimes happening in the state. The crime is more rampant in cities than in villages because their are financial differences amongst the citizens.

Gonda,Etawa and Gorakhpur have high crime right while Azamgarh and Tundla are India's training camps for Jehadis(wrong ones) and terrorists. It has given birth to terrorist like Daud Ibrahim,Chhota Shakeel and Abu Salem.Their is an are in Lucknow city near the university called Mini-Pakistan(sorry for the title) known for its terror politics and has even sheltered famous Osama Bin Laden.

Standard Of Living:-
Worst than African nations.High malnutrition ,infant mortality and sheer lack of medical and educational facilities though things are rapidly improving in this field thanks to Mayawati(my first and last thankx to her).Average prosperity is steadily improving due to money send by Gulf labourers and intelligent people of this region working in big cities in and outside India.

Industry:-
It had the largest industrial base in the country in 1947 but now it scores really low due to sickness of the system.Things sound better in Moradabad,NCR-UP,Lucknow,Kanpur and Raebareilli(Sonia's constituency) though.

Economy:-

Second largest in India ($121.15 billion(nominal))but due to its 190 million poplulace per capita is negligible. It is on the verge of being taken over by West Bengal,Tamil Nadu,Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.

Infrastructure:-
Longest system of roads in India,India's biggest railway network.Lucknow is India's second busiest station after Delhi(NDLS+NIZ) and and by 2020 longest network of expressways in the country. It shares a 17% part of Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor Project and 67% of Delhi-Kolkata freight corridor project,24% of Golden Quadrillateral(completed).

It scores low on power but has ample water and irrigation facilities thanks to might Ganges,Yamuna and Ghagra flowing. Its has huge IT facilits in Noida,G.Noida and Lucknow.

What needs to be done:-
Rahul Gandhi as our CM.(India's ans to obama)
