People are terming it as a failure of the Civilian Gov, in my views this is not the failure of the Civilian Gov, as majority of the people sitting in parliament voted in a favor, apart from those who are hell bound on destroying Pakistan. A Right Decision at the Right Time. Current Judicial System will not help Pakistan get rid of all these threats, as they keep on releasing the accused...

now its no fault of current govt or even the last..their fault lies in not initiating the process.
reforming will take at least a decade if the process is started now.

The Army act favors Army and protects its personnel from being tried in a civilian court. When you amend the Army act and give it additional power to try civilians, you basically take away some powers from the civilian courts. There are way too many reasons for why this amendment will be challenged in the SC.

a constitutional amendment means CJ is powerless. he also wouldnt go ahead due to extreme backlash from public.
here in Peshawar you cannot imagine the anger and frustration among the people.
yes thousands died in suicide bombing in Peshawar but to kill children at point blank is something else...

It's a matter of principle. They supported the bill in the conferences and in principle.

Completely different from the stance JI/JUI are taking.

PTI opposes the government, not the bill.

So their politics is more important than Pakistan itself.

It is not but NOT making a judicial commission on rigging is surely more important for PMLN politics

PMLN politics come first otherwise they would have announced judicial commission and there would have been a truly unanimous bill today(one with the Real oppositions support unlike chota bahi bara bahi muk makka opposition)

Well they could have come to assembly for a single day for the vote and then continue with the regular politics but apparently 4 constituencies are more important than whole Pakistan.

Passing Of 21st Amendment Bill Success Of Truthfulness: Altaf Hussain

The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement Mr. Altaf Hussain said that the passing of 21st Amendment Bill unanimously from Senate and National Assembly was the victory of truth and rightfulness.
Talking to the members of Coordination Committee, Senators, MNAs, MPAs, and MQM office-bearers of central departments at Nine-Zero, Azizabad, MQM Chief said that the rightful struggle ended with success. He said that Allah granted the entire nation triumph over vice.
Mr. Hussain said that the people ridiculed him over raising the voice against Taliban and terrorism but MQM kept opposing the menace. He said that he not only fought against the terrorism but also the hypocrite elements of the country, who opposed him to protect their vested interests.
He felicitated members Coordination Committee, Senators, MNAs, MPAs, office-bearers of central departments, Zones, Sectors, Units, MQM workers and supporters over the passing of 21st Amendment Bill. He said his workers and supporters participated in the struggle and faced the negativity of the opponents but showed patience to them.
Mr. Hussain said that the constitutional amendment against miscreants spreading sectarianism and hatred, was a big issue. He said that it was only possible because of the unity and consistency of the nation. He said that now the voices against the struggle of rightfulness became silent in the country.
He urged MQM workers to work more actively and continue the struggle of truthfulness. He directed them to act for the welfare of the people and treat them with politeness and should try to resolve their issues. He said that their politeness would melt the hearts of the people and one-day MQM would be spread all over the country and would end the obsolete feudal system.
