As expected, JUI(F) senators abstained from voting. This bastard 'Diesel' is playing on both the sides of the wicket. And bill unanimously passed in Senate.
Presidents signature needed now and we will have 21st amendment.
you say thisThat unfortunately, is less a problem of the judiciary and more a fundamental weakness of the state. For any state to be strong,it must have a monopoly on violence & force. Decentralising that like has been allowed over the years in Pakistan makes for a weakening of the state. That way judges end up only taking on those who are obliged to listen & acquiesce to them. No judge must be asked to take extraordinary risks to his life, just like no civilian should be asked to while performing the very ordinary of jobs.
What was that by Raza Rabbani?
Crying and all and then he goes out of the Senate.
Meanwhile, President Lahore Bar says the bill is against the law.
Mubarak ho sab ko.
@syedali73 @Hyperion @Bratva
22 people arrested in the attack on Salman Taseer...guess who was leading them?
A khateeb of a local Bilal Masjid!!! The others were students and teachers from madressas.
And then they say in ko army act say nikalo!
BTW, watch ARY, Khosa really giving some weird arguments.
The only argument PPP has is jamhuriat bachao. Jamhuriat bachatay bachatay mulk ganwa do.
And Fareed paracha being asked by Kashif Abbasi that why you oppose this bill...and paracha as usual ayen bayen shayen.
Didn't think I'd be supporting Nawaz Sharif ever!
I don't think people should over shadow taseer's grave mistake & not expecting aftermaths. Issues should be addressed clearly on both sides. Actually army went to civilian government for constitutional umbrella against those they feed 35 years and asked whole civilian leadership to be united over they have minimum share of sin. How's pathetic.
you say this
and here the judges tried to cover their faces and the terrorists told them their names their family members. told the witnesses that dead witnesses dont count and had their all killed along with their family members
yes state is very weak and mere sympathy doesn't cut it
our system of governance has failed. only during military rule it has stabilised itself when there was a president. parliamentary democracy never worked out. (yes half of its existence it was ruled by military but what about the other half? what has democracy given us?).
corrupt system has problem with honest and steadfast justice system so it wont allow it. Kashmir and Afghan issue has given space to the thugs who are stronger than the state now.. big example..
Red Mosque administration in the capital which calls the constitution of Pakistan illegitimate and kafir, calls its army a heretic and all the political parties unislamic and openly expressed its support for ISIS and threatened to unleash suicide bombing if challenged like Musharaf
So I agree with you. all these resolutions, speeches and operations are meaningless unless we tackle the ideology and choke the funding & venomous indoctrination from the Middle east.
Yar aap kehna kia chahtay ho seedhay seedhay alfaz main bolo...
So you mean that Army is still not serious about this and wants to shift blame?
So PTI didn't vote in support of the bill. Shabash. PTI TTP romance still looks strong.
