Myanmar border guard firing injures a BGB soldier, another abducted

yes, people to people contact is a very good approach. I doubt general burmese hate bangladeshis as such, so you need good relation at political level too.

Well, I have never met any Burmese in real but there seems to be extensive anti-Muslim sentiments present among the general public, especially after the state-sponsored propaganda movements like the 969.

I think its general burmese tendency to see people who dont look like them as outsider. The religion is just another marker, underlying hatred is ethnic.
They did throw Indians out in 60s. Indians who were living for generations were uprooted. 300,000 Indians were displaced, govt of India arranged the transport, and it strained our relations.

What the Mukti Bahini and Indian forces did to the Pro Pak Bengalis and Biharis was not nice, well guess what, the Rohingyans are going through the exact same brutality just more worse scale.

No, the anti-Bangladesh sentiment is very high right now.

Why? What gives you by this racism? You have so many issues to deal in your country? Why BD? :hitwall:

LOL.. where is bleeding..?

NO.. trouser and knife and other things were found on the boat...

His nose. Burmese caught him and roughed him but not as much as I expected you would think 3 people would inflict a bit more damage, this may be due to fact that Burmese are usually physically weak.

Myanmar border guard firing injures a BGB soldier, another abducted

A soldier of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in Cox’s Bazar was injured by shots fired by Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP) while another soldier was abducted, officials of the force confirmed

The exchange of fire between the two countries’ border patrols occurred on the Naf River in Teknaf Upazila.
Teknaf BGB 42 Battalion chief Lt Col Abu Zar Al Zahid said the shootout took place around 4am on Wednesday at the river’s Jamudira Point.
The wounded BGB soldier ‘Bilpob’, 21, has been admitted to the Cox’s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
The abducted soldier has been identified as Nayek ‘Razzak’.
The exchange of firing had been caused by a ‘misunderstanding’, according to the BGB.
“The shooting broke out due to a misunderstanding with the BGP when the BGB patrol was searching a trawler following a tip-off regarding Yaba smuggling,” the force’s Chittagong South-East Region Director Lt Col Ekram told bdnews24.com.
The abducted soldier was said to be all right and the BGB were in contact with the BGP to bring him back, added the BGB official.

Another lesson for Bangladesh to build its forces
